Have you already tried to make a good video, but the result did not live up to expectations? Our article will teach you how to shoot videos that you are not ashamed to share with the world!
Steps

Step 1. Find a good camera
A smartphone with an 8 megapixel camera or a higher-end camera is fine.

Step 2. Choose a suitable location
Find a place with good lighting. Shoot outdoors or use a room with many windows. Do not shoot in a dark room with only one light source.

Step 3. Choose a suitable angle
The camera should be positioned at shoulder level or slightly higher. With a stationary camera, the shoulders of the character should be in the center of the frame, and the bottom of the frame should be at waist or knee level. ALWAYS do a test shoot before recording your main video. You can also install multiple cameras to shoot from different shots.

Step 4. Speak clearly
The announcer must understand the subject he is talking about. Try to write a script with key points. Take some test shots to check the volume and clarity of speech. Any inexperienced announcer often gets confused while recording.

Step 5. Bring your character to life
Pronounce the text as if you were talking to the other person. Don't read the entire script using it as a blueprint only. Do not look directly into the camera or at a specific object. If you turn to face the camera, then move your body weight, use a few appropriate gestures, intonate correctly and emphasize what is said with facial expressions. In most cases, jokes are appropriate.

Step 6. Preparing for editing
If you shot the video using your phone, then upload the video to YouTube. Download requires a Google or Gmail account, which you can register for free. Depending on the purpose, the video may be available only to you or to all users. If your phone or camera does not have a built-in editor, then copy the recording to your computer and use a third-party program.

Step 7. YouTube service editor
Your best bet is to use the Google Chrome browser. In the search bar, enter “youtube editor”, log into your account and select the desired video from the list of downloaded files. Use our article to learn how to work with the editor

Step 8. Make short sections
If there is no continuous dialogue on the recording or the scene should not be shot in one frame, then divide the video into segments. Change frames every 1-10 seconds. This approach is very important because it allows you to cut out errors and useless frames.

Step 9. Use short transitions
Do not use flips, rotation, alternating, scattering, dissolving, zooming, or other annoying animation effects. At first they may seem funny to you, but in the video they will only be annoying. Your best bet is to use fade (on YouTube, choose fade -> black) or skip transitions altogether (abrupt transition). You can also try lightening, cross-blurring, fading and wiping in your video.

Step 10. Add effects and filters
Evaluate whether you need to lighten or darken the video, rotate, apply stabilization, or mute the audio track in places. All these actions are available in the YouTube editor.

Step 11. Publish your video
Make the recording available to anyone with the link or just you. If you want to keep a copy of the recording, select the “Share by link” option and then use a third-party download program to save the video to your computer.
Advice
- Choose interesting topics! Nobody wants to watch a video of how grass grows.
- If you want to decide on specific ideas, then watch other videos on Youtube that correspond to your ideas about the desired result, paying attention to the techniques used.
- Speak only to the point! Don't talk about trivia and don't jump from topic to topic.
- Cut out all unnecessary parts from the video. Viewers do not watch videos that are shot in one shot and in which the character turns on and off the video recording equipment. Edit and keep only the essentials.
- Storyboard or sketch to get an idea of what the final version should look like.
- Set a deadline for completing the installation.
Warnings
- Pronounce words and accents correctly, otherwise you will be ashamed every time you watch a video.
- If you do not save the video, then the recording will be lost forever in the virtual space!
- Some users on video display services may leave rude or obnoxious comments.
