Method 1 of 2: TNT Trap

Step 1. Take four blocks of sand and five blocks of gunpowder to make TNT

Sand can be found on the beach and in the desert.
To get gunpowder, kill a creeper (don't let it explode) or a ghast; sand can also be found in dungeon chests.

Step 2. Take two stone blocks

To get a stone block, melt a cobblestone in a furnace. Create a stone pressure plate by adding two stone blocks to the adjacent workbench slots in your inventory.

Press E. to open inventory

Step 3. Place the TNT block anywhere

Do not place this block near your buildings

Step 4. Place the pressure plate directly in front of the TNT block

Wait for someone to step on the plate - the block will explode, wounding or killing the character.

Method 2 of 2: Door Trap

If wooden doors are installed, they are very easy to break and the trap will only last a few seconds. If the trapped person does not have a pickaxe, it will take some time before he gets out of the trap.

Step 3. Place the obsidian block over the doors

If you don't have obsidian, use another block that is difficult to break. Better, of course, to use a bedrock, but it cannot be obtained in survival mode, so obsidian is the best solution.

Step 4. Lure someone into a trap

As soon as the person steps on the plate, the doors close and the person gets stuck inside. The person will not be able to press the plate again, because he will not jump over the closed doors, so he will remain inside for an indefinite period. You can also place a TNT block under the pressure plate so that the trapped person explodes.

Advice

Experiment with traps. Instead of TNT, you can make a moving block of earth, upon stepping on which the character will fall into a deep pit with lava.
To disguise the trap, do not post absurd signs such as "Free Diamonds". Only noobs are led to this! Instead, building an unprotected house with chests is a great way to get revenge on someone. Place the sign "Red Stone".
To mask the pressure plate, place oak blocks around the wooden pressure plate and stone blocks around the stone pressure plate.
Build a small house with a chest. Place the pressure plate on the outside, and in front of the plate, place the door so that it looks like the plate is opening the door. This is much less obvious than a pressure plate inside a building.
