Want to protect your Minecraft property from annoying mobs? If mobs trample crops or break doors, fences can be useful structures in Minecraft, and some find them simply necessary.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: How to make a wooden fence

Step 1. Make at least six wooden planks from the same wood species
If you make them from different species, you get a multi-colored fence. To craft four wooden planks from one wooden block, add it to the center slot of the workbench.
You will craft a fence from four boards, and sticks from two boards

Step 2. Craft two sticks
To do this, you need two boards that you crafted from wooden blocks. To get four sticks out of two planks, add one plank to the center slot of the workbench, and add a second plank to the slot under the center slot.

Step 3. Craft a fence
Add one stick to the center slot of the workbench and the second stick to the slot under the center slot. Now add boards to the slots on both sides of the stick slots.
It is better if the boards and sticks are made from the same wood species

Step 4. Add the fence to your inventory
The above crafting recipe with four planks and two sticks will create three fence blocks.
Method 2 of 3: How to Create a Hell Brick Fence

Step 1. Craft any pickaxe
It is needed to get the hellish bricks. Since the Lower World (Hell) is a dangerous territory, make a strong pickaxe that will allow you to quickly extract resources. Try to craft an iron pickaxe or better.
To craft an iron pickaxe, add one stick to the center slot of the workbench and a second stick to the slot below the center slot. Now add iron ingots to the top three slots

Step 2. Go to the Lower World (Hell)
To create a hellish brick fence, you need a brick that can only be found in the Nether. To go to the Nether, you need a portal.
The Downworld is a dangerous biome, so jump into it if you're well equipped. Take a lot of healing items with you, such as healing potions

Step 3. Find the hellish fortress
The structures of the Lower World cannot be confused with anything - they look like bridges towering above the ground. To find a fortress, head east or west. If you go north or south, you will pass thousands of blocks and will not come across a fortress.
Efreet and Wither Skeletons are found in the hellish fortress, which drop valuable items

Step 4. Get the hellish brick
A hellish fortress was built from it. Use the pickaxe to get the brick. To create a fence, you need at least six bricks (or more if the fence is very long).
From one hellish brick you can get one block of the fence, but for crafting you need 6 bricks (of which 6 blocks of the fence will turn out)

Step 5. Open the workbench and craft the fence
Do this when you get six hell bricks. Add hell bricks to the bottom and middle slots of the workbench.

Step 6. Transfer the fence to your inventory
6 hell bricks will make 6 hell brick fence blocks.
Method 3 of 3: How to find a fence

Step 1. Take the tool
You can break the finished fence and get its blocks with any tool or even your hand. Use a pickaxe or ax to speed up the process.
You can only break down a fence made of hellish bricks with a pickaxe

Step 2. Find wooden fences in the abandoned mines
In mines, wooden fences are used as supports.

Step 3. Steal the wooden fence in the village
As a rule, there are many fences in the village, including those on the roofs of the dwellings. Keep in mind that the villagers won't get angry if you break and take the fence.

Step 4. Look for fences in the fortresses
In underground libraries, citadels may have fences that are used as railings and chandeliers. Usually there are several libraries in each stronghold.

Step 5. Rob the witch in the swamp
You will find fences at the entrance and on the windows of the witch's hut.

Step 6. Take the infernal brick fence from the Nether
In the Nether world, you can get a hellish brick, from which a fence is crafted, but in the same world, you can simply break and take away the fence (look for it in the hellish fortress). A hellish brick fence can only be broken with a pickaxe.
Advice
- Fence blocks are automatically attached to most other blocks when placed next to each other, and when fence blocks are placed separately, a support is obtained.
- The height of the fence is one and a half blocks, that is, monsters and animals (except for spiders) cannot jump over it.
- You can attach a leash with a passive mob to the fence.
- The fence can be used as a cage.
