Many servers have high rank titles such as Moderator and OP, which are assigned to players to help organize the server. Moderators are “representatives of the law” on the server, disconnecting and banning players or simply warning them. OPs use spawn skills and plugin commands very often, and can also act as moderators. Op stands for Operator, as does Mod - Moderator. In this article, you will learn how to get one of these statuses.
Method 1 of 3: Server selection
Step 1. Find a Minecraft server you like
You will be spending a lot of time playing as a moderator / OP, so try to enjoy the process.
Method 2 of 3: Get Known
Step 1. Show yourself on the server
Don't ask for the Moderator / OP rank right away. Try to let the players and the server owner know about you.
Step 2. Be a good example
Help players who need help and remind them of the rules. Be polite and don't swear, and help newbies.
Be friendly. Give hints, send funny messages and speak well about the server you are playing on
Method 3 of 3: Requesting a Moderator
Step 1. Ask the server owner or moderators if they need help
After that, you will be able to determine your further actions in this direction.
Just ask “Hi guys, do you need additional staff? I really like this server and would not want it to go in a bad direction.”
Step 2. If at the moment they do not need moderators / Ops, then continue playing anyway
Keep helping and prompting newbies. Be polite. Do not get angry and do not leave the server if you have not been appointed as a moderator. Don't be bored with questions about whether they need moderators, be calm, if they have a website or forum, then just pay attention to the announcements.
Step 3. Ask politely
Play at least three weeks before you do this. Make sure players and team members know and respect you. Just ask if there are any open positions for moderators, and tell me that you would like to become one. If there are no places, then just say that they can always ask you if there is a need for new team members.
Step 4. If the previous step doesn't work, don't worry
Perhaps there is a section on the server's website where you can apply for a moderator or another admin, if so, fill out the application using the correct speech and observing the rules of the Russian language. Don't bother with questions after your application has been reviewed; many server owners do not like this behavior, and I may reject your application. Step 5. Be polite and understand the situation.
Being a moderator doesn't mean that you can abuse your power - it means that you have to help other players and the community as a whole. If you are not assigned, then continue playing and gain experience on this server, and then try again.
- Make friends with the admins and moderators, as they are the ones who decide who is the moderator or another member of the admin team.
- Try not to fight with other team members, you will lose the opportunity to become OP / mod, and possibly get banned or kicked.
- And most importantly, enjoy the role of an admin. Be proactive and set an example for other players.
- When you become a moderator / OP, do not abuse your capabilities. Help others and ask if they need any support. Learn to use plugins and know when to kick or ban players.
- Create interesting things so that others will remember you.
- Try to chat with the owner on Skype to get to know each other better.
