Bored of being alone or alone in the Minecraft world? Don't like simple villages? In this article, we will show you how to build a populated village or city.
Steps
Step 1. Build a wall or fence
Do this to understand what area you are allocating for the village. We recommend that you occupy an area of 50x60 blocks. Then the wall can be broken, but it will protect the village from mobs. Make a gate so villagers can go outside the wall.
Do not forget about the place for the building of the Administration (City Hall). Therefore, make the fence 55x70, but it depends on how large the Office will be
Step 2. Build the building of the Administration (City Hall)
Most likely, you will be the head of the Government, since you built its building, so it can also serve as your home (but this is at your discretion).
Step 3. Build a road in the village
If you like, build a road like a city road if you think the village needs improvement.
Step 4. Build houses
Their size and number depend on your preference. If the area allocated for the village is not that large, build three houses on each side of the road, and if the area allows, four or five houses.
Step 5. Build public buildings
These buildings are:
- shop / market / supermarket;
- restaurant / cafe / pub;
- Government / City Hall building;
- court;
- TV / Radio station;
- bank / tax court;
- school / university;
- church / cathedral / mosque / Buddhist temple;
- prison / police station / fire station / hospital;
- wind / solar / nuclear / coal station;
- water tower / pumping station;
- sewage pipe / treatment plant;
- landfills / incineration plant / recycling centers.
Step 6. Populate the village
To spawn a villager, use the / summon villageger command. The attributes of the inhabitants can be changed.
Step 7. Think of what the residents will do
It depends on what you have built. If there is a store, it will need a salesperson, and if a school, a teacher.
Step 8. Come up with laws
You are settling residents into nice houses, so come up with laws for the village. Moreover, think about how to punish residents who violate these laws.
Step 9. Make a large underground shelter for residents to secure or store items
The recommended size of the shelter is 25x25 blocks.
Step 10. Place the created village on the server (optional)
Step 11. You have built a village and you can play as the head of the Governor

Advice
- Take your time and be patient - it will take a lot of time to build a good village.
- To protect the villagers from aggressive mobs, create iron golems - place two iron blocks on top of each other, and then add one iron block on each side of the top block. Now place the pumpkin on the top center block.
- The ideal area for a village is 50x50 blocks.
- It is not necessary to build a wall, but it will help plan the number and location of buildings.
- Place signs so villagers can spot or use an invisible potion.
- Be sure to protect your village from mobs!
- Place torches or other light sources to prevent aggressive and neutral mobs from spawning.
- Use four iron blocks and a pumpkin to create an iron golem to guard the village.
