How to catch Chimeko in Pokemon Ruby: 8 steps

Chimeko is an unusually rare psychic-type Pokémon that looks like a musical pendant. During the fight, Chimeko uses her hollow body to amplify a furious scream that knocks opponents off their feet. You can find Chimeko in the grass on Mount Pyre.

Steps

Part 1 of 2: Capturing Chimeko in Pokemon Ruby

Step 1. Head to the top of Mount Pyre

Approach the dock in the western part of Lilikov and sail first east and then south. You will see Mount Pyre. Go ashore and enter the cave.

On the first floor on the left side there is a door, go through it and go outside. There will be a red carpet in front of this door.
Go east and go up the stairs. Then head west and climb to the top of the mountain in the northwest. The air will be filled with fog.

Step 2. Walk on the grass

You will find many Pokémon hiding in the grass and near the gravestones. Finding Chimeko can take a very, very long time, since the chance of meeting him is only 5%.

Don't give up hope. If you search long enough, you can find Chimeko

Step 3. Throw the Poké Ball to catch Chimeko

You can weaken him with one of your Pokémon and then catch him in the Poké Ball.

Part 2 of 2: Capturing Chimeko in Pokemon Ruby Omega

Step 1. On Route 122, head south and then east to Mount Pyre

Route 212 has a small waterway. Sail from the docks on Route 212 and sail towards the southern (and only) entrance to Mount Pyre.

Step 2. Go through the caves and go up to the third floor

Climbing higher, you will meet various trainers and characters who mourn their Pokémon here. Passing through the caves, you can get into the battle at any time.

When you reach the third floor, enter the south door

Step 3. Climb to the top of Mount Pyre

To get to the top, you have to climb several stairs. On the way up, you can get TM61 Will-O-Wisp, Super Potion and Supreme Ether. To find these items, stop on your way to the top and examine the tombstones.

When you reach the top, the air will be filled with fog

Step 4. Walk around in the grass until you meet Chimeko

To get to the very top of Mount Pyre, you will have to fight several members of Team Magma, but Chimeko will not necessarily be at the very top.

Step 5. Catch Chimeko in a Poké Ball

Weaken Chimeko with one of your Pokémon, then trap him in the Poké Ball. Congratulations! You have found an incredibly rare Pokemon!
