Mario Kart Wii is a fun and addicting game. When you play with friends, the competition for the best place begins, everyone wants to be better than the other. We will tell you how to learn how to play this game perfectly in order to be better than everyone else!
Steps

Step 1. Think about what kind of transport you need
A small vehicle that can easily fit into corners without hitting walls? Or maybe a very fast drifting car? There are special vehicles for off-road driving. The choice of vehicle in the game is one of the most important things. For beginners, karts with good speed and easy controls are best. For the more advanced and experienced, speed is important to always come first. Therefore, think carefully before choosing your car or bike. Step 2. Choose a car of the appropriate weight category for you.
All cars have their own properties - they are not listed in the game. Of course, it doesn't really matter, so just look at the different cars and bikes and think about the weight class first - there are small, medium and large vehicles. The little ones have less speed and weight, but everything else is better than others. They can crash without consequences. Average have average parameters. Large ones have great speed and weight, but their other parameters are low, it is advisable not to bump into anything with them.
For example Bullet Bike and Bowser Bike / Flame Runner. Both have almost the same parameters, but they are from different weight categories. Bullet Bike is a light form of transport, it has lower speed and weight than other bike, but it has better overall parameters. Bowser Bike / Flame Runner has more speed and more weight, but the basic parameters are worse than Bullet Bike's

Step 3. Select the type of drifting (skid) that you will use - Automatic or Manual (Automatic or Manual)
Automatic allows you to drift (easier to get around corners) automatically, without pressing buttons, but does not allow the use of Mini-Turbo, that is, a short-term increase in speed. Manual Drifting allows you to use the Mini-Turbo Turbo Mode, which is activated by the B (Drift) button when blue or orange sparks appear on the screen from under the rear wheels of your bike or car. If you start shaking your Wii Remote from side to side while holding the B button while turning, then Turbo mode will charge faster. Automatic drifting is ideal for beginners, you don't have to press the B button all the time when cornering, and the manual mode allows you to use turbo mode to significantly increase your speed for a while, so consider which mode you want to choose. Bikes and cars are brought in differently. See which one suits you best.

Step 4. Use the rocket start at the start of the races
To do this, you need to press the gas button (A or 2, depending on your settings) when the countdown is on the screen before the start of the race. When the race starts, you jump forward. Likewise, you need to act after falling off the road, when Lakitu (turtle) brings you back to the road: just step on the gas when you find yourself on the ground again. It's tricky but helpful.

Step 5. Learn to apply various tricks
There is a new trick technique in the new version of Mario Kart Wii that was not available in older versions of Mario Kart games. You just need to shake the Wii Remote up, down, left or right when you pull off the road or jump after the blue or colored arrows appear on the screen to apply a special combination. After landing on the road, you will gain a little speed. Do not shake the remote in the air, do it a little earlier. You will hear a sound coming from the remote, which means you did everything right.

Step 6. Look for road cuts and short cuts
Many tracks like Mushroom Gorge, Peach Beach, Mario Raceway, Mario Circuit, Coconut Mall, Wario's Gold Mine, Shy Guy Beach, Delfino Square and others have hidden shortcuts. They are usually hidden in grass or mud. You will need a Mushroom boost or a Starman (to go faster on grass or mud). Watch the video to find out where all the shortcuts are and where you can take shortcuts.

Step 7. Find out the purpose of special items in the game
If you come across a mushroom, you need to use it with benefit, for example, as indicated above - to cut the path. Bananas are needed to protect you from projectiles that come from behind. Do not throw a red projectile at the player who is driving in front of you, just a few centimeters away from you, because you will overtake him anyway. Wait for the really important moment. If you create an explosion, make it so that it hits other players - otherwise, what's the point? If you see that a blue projectile is flying at you, and you have a red or gold mushroom, wait until the projectile reaches you - and only then use the mushroom. Over time, you will learn to do everything at the right time for this. You can try to slow down and knock other players off the road, set an explosion and throw them at its epicenter. See, don't get hurt yourself. If you have a mega mushroom that turns you into a giant, or a Starman star that makes you invulnerable and fast, bump into other players - you are not afraid of anything. If there is a storm cloud above you - immediately crash into one of the players so that the cloud passes over to them. Otherwise, lightning will strike you, which will slow you down significantly. Remember that other players will also use all sorts of items to slow you down. You will always see a warning when one of these objects flies at you.

Step 8. Take a look at youtube videos with highly rated Time Trials
Learn from the professionals. You can also watch them in-game - you need to connect to Wi-fi on your Wii set-top box. After choosing a license, you will see the Mario Kart Channel option in the right corner of the window. Open it and open Rankings. There you will see the highest ratings for trials, here you can learn everything there is to know about the game. If you can't connect your Wii to the Internet, just search the Internet for information.
