The PlayStation 4 is a game console that you can register for multiple users. If you want to delete a user, you will be glad to know that it is quite easy to do this.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Removing Users from the Main Account

Step 1. Sign in to your main account
Turn on your console and enter your credentials. To delete other accounts, you must be logged in as the primary user.

Step 2. Go to "Settings"
From the home screen, push up on the left joystick to open the menu. Scroll right with the left joystick until you find the Settings option. The settings icon looks like a toolbox. Press "X" to open settings.

Step 3. Open the "Delete User" window
While in the settings menu, find the "Users" option. Then click on the "Delete User" option.

Step 4. Removing a specific user
Scroll down to the user you want to delete. Press "X" to delete the user, then confirm the deletion. Then follow the instructions on the screen.
- To remove the primary user, the console must first be initialized. After you click on the "Uninstall" option, you will be asked to confirm your decision to initialize your PS4. After initialization, the console will return to factory settings. All unsaved data will be permanently deleted.
To save your data, go to Settings> Manage Application Saved Data> System Saved Data. Select Upload to Network to save data to network storage and USB Mass Storage to save data to a USB storage device (such as an external hard drive). Select the game or app you want to save, then click Copy
- Do not turn off the PS4 system while saving. This can cause serious damage to the system.

Step 5. Make sure the removal was successful
Log out of the console and then log back in. If the user no longer appears on the screen, then you have successfully removed him from the system.
Method 2 of 3: Factory reset from your main account

Step 1. Sign in to your main account
Turn on your console and enter your credentials. You must be logged into the console as the primary user.

Step 2. Go to "Settings"
From the home screen, push up on the left joystick to open the menu. Scroll right with the left joystick until you find the Settings option. The settings icon looks like a toolbox. Press "X" to open settings.

Step 3. Open the "Initialization" window
While in the settings menu, scroll down to the "Initialize" option, then click on the "Initialize PS4 System" option. Select "Complete" and then follow the instructions on the screen. This will reset your PS4 system to factory settings and delete any unsaved data such as trophies, screenshots, and more.
- To save your data, go to Settings> Manage Application Saved Data> System Saved Data. Select Upload to Network to save data to network storage and USB Mass Storage to save data to a USB storage device (such as an external hard drive). Select the game or application you want to save, then click Copy.
- A complete system rollback to factory settings can take several hours. Do not turn off the console during this process. This can cause serious damage to the system.
Method 3 of 3: Removing users by manually rolling back to factory settings

Step 1. Save the data you do not want to lose

Hold down the power button for a few seconds. Wait until you hear a beep and the light turns red. Take your finger off the button.

Step 4. Click on the "Restore default settings" option
When the console powers up, you will be in Safe Mode. Use the left joystick to navigate to the Restore Defaults section. Press "X" and follow the instructions on the screen. This will restore your console to factory settings, while deleting all unsaved data such as trophies, screenshots, and more.
- During safe mode, the controller must be connected to the console via a USB port.
- Use this method only if you are initializing a PS4 for which you do not have a password.
