In this article, we'll show you how to sign up for Xbox LIVE for free (but temporarily). To do this, you need to earn 7000 points using Microsoft Rewards or sign up for a free trial with a new gamertag. You can also enter the code shown on the card found in the box with the new game (this subscription will be valid for 2-3 days).
Steps
Method 1 of 4: Using Microsoft Rewards
Step 1. Open the Bing site
Go to https://www.bing.com/. Step 2. Sign in to your Microsoft Xbox LIVE account.
Click Sign In at the top right of the page, click Connect to the right of the Microsoft logo, and then enter your email address and password.
- If you don't have an Xbox LIVE account, create one.
- You must have a Microsoft account to subscribe to Microsoft Rewards.
Step 3. Click on the "Rewards" icon
It looks like a red medal and is in the upper right corner of the page. A menu will open. Step 4. Click Join Now.
This blue button is in the lower-left corner of the menu. You will be taken to the Microsoft Rewards page. Step 5. Click Try it now, free!
(Try it for free).
This orange button is at the top of the page. Step 6. Enter your email address and password if prompted.
You will be taken to the Microsoft Rewards page and signed up for this service.
Skip this step if you are not required to enter your credentials
Step 7. Use Bing
Use Bing instead of Google, Yandex or Yahoo search engines. You will be awarded five points for each search query.
- The number of searches is limited, but the exact number depends on the available quests. When using Bing, keep an eye on your points to make sure you still get them.
- Once you reach the search limit in one browser, use another browser to continue earning points.
- If you'd like, change your browser's primary search engine to Bing.
Step 8. Get rewards for your achievements
Click on the Rewards icon and then click Claim under any notification offering points. Points will be added to your points.
Also, a list of quests in which you can take part will be displayed here
Step 9. Earn 7000 points
Once you've earned 7,000 points from searches, quests, and rewards, use them to purchase a monthly Xbox LIVE subscription. Step 10. Go to this page.
It provides a free monthly Xbox LIVE subscription. Step 11. Click Redeem.
It's below the Xbox LIVE Gift Card image. Step 12. Click CONFIRM ORDER.
Microsoft will send you an email with the code for Xbox LIVE.
You may need to enter your phone number for Microsoft to send an SMS with a code to it
Method 2 of 4: Using a Free Trial
Step 1. Open the Xbox LIVE website
Go to https://www.xbox.com/en-us/live and log in with your Xbox Silver account credentials (this must be a Microsoft account).
- Use this method if your account has never been linked to Xbox LIVE. Otherwise, create a new Microsoft account.
- Also, you cannot use a phone number that is associated with your other Microsoft accounts.
Step 2. Click on your profile picture
It's in the top right corner of the page. A menu will open. Step 3. Click on Microsoft Account.
It's near the top of the menu. Step 4. Click Services & Subscriptions.
This tab is on a blue ribbon at the top of the page. Step 5. Click Test Xbox Live Gold Free.
This link is in the Xbox section. You will be taken to the subscription selection page.
If you see “Subscribe to Xbox Live Gold” on the page, you won't be able to use the free trial with your current account
Step 6. Check the box next to Gold - 1 month FREE trial
It's at the top of the page. Step 7. Click Next.
This green button is in the lower-right corner of the page. Step 8. Log in to your account, if prompted.
You may need to re-enter your email address and password to confirm that you want to add this subscription to your account.
You may also be asked to verify your account. In this case, enter your phone number, click Submit Code, open the SMS message from Microsoft, write down the code, and then enter it in the field on this page
Step 9. Add payment information
Typically, you will need to enter your bank card number, its security code, the cardholder's name, expiration date, and your zip code. You do not need to pay anything during the month, but from the next month you will be charged $ 9.99 (650 rubles).
You can unsubscribe at any time to avoid unnecessary waste when your free trial expires
Step 10. Click Continue
It's in the lower-left corner of the page. Your credit card details will be saved and a month of free Xbox LIVE use will be added to your account.
Method 3 of 4: Using a code on Xbox One
Step 1. Find the code for the free trial
Some games come with a map that includes a free trial code (this subscription will be valid for 2-3 days). You can enter the code in your Xbox One settings. Step 2. Turn on your Xbox One with your controller connected.
Press and hold the Guide button, which is marked with the Xbox logo and is located in the center of the controller. This will turn on both the Xbox and the controller. Step 3. Log in to the appropriate account.
Press the Guide button and scroll up the menu. If you see the correct name, proceed to the next step.
To switch to another account, select the current account, scroll down, select “Sign Out”, press the “Guide” button and enter the desired account
Step 4. Select "Settings"
Scroll down to select the gear icon and then press A.
If you needed to log into a different account, first press the "Guide" button
Step 5. Select All Settings and press A.
The settings menu will open. Step 6. Select the Account tab and press A.
It's in the left pane. Step 7. Select Subscriptions and press A.
You will find this option in the bottom row of options. Step 8. Select Learn about Gold and press A.
This option is in the center of the screen.
If you've already used Gold on your current account, simply select the "Xbox Live Gold" option
Step 9. Select Redeem Code and press A.
A window will open in which you can enter the code.
If you have already used Gold, select "Change payment method", press "A", select "Redeem code" and press "A"
Step 10. Enter the code
Press A to select the text field, and then use the on-screen keyboard to enter the code. Step 11. Press the ☰ button.
It's below and to the right of the Guide button. The code will be activated, that is, you can use Gold for free for 2-3 days.
Method 4 of 4: Using a code on Xbox 360
Step 1. Find the code for the free trial

It's on the right side of the Xbox 360 menu. Press the RB button seven times to go to this tab. Step 6. Select Account and press A.

Enter the code in the text field using the onscreen keyboard. Step 9. Press ►.
This button is to the right of the Guide button. The code will be activated - now you can use Gold for free for 2-3 days.
