The Sims 3 is about creating your own character and building his life, but making changes to an already created sim after starting the game is difficult enough. Nevertheless, thanks to the cheats built into the game, you can access the sim creation tool at any time. While using this method, it is possible to fail, but it is with its help that you can change almost any character in the game!
Step 1. Make sure you have an updated version of the game installed
This cheat is only available in later versions of Sims 3. If you are using the base game and have never updated it, you will not be able to use the cheat.
- Make sure your computer is connected to the internet.
- Select the Updates tab in the game loader, and then click the Update Now button. The patch will be downloaded and applied to your game.
Step 2. Save the game
Using the cheat can lead to crashes in the game, so it is always wise to save first before using the cheat (in case something goes wrong and you need to restore everything).
Step 3. Open the command line of the game
It can be opened at any time by pressing the key combination Ctrl + Shift + C.
If this key combination does not work, the following combination helps some: Windows key + Ctrl + Shift + C
Step 4. Enter in line
testingcheatsenabled true and press Enter.
This will enable a special menu that pops up when you press the game objects while holding down the Shift key.
Step 5. Switch to another sim so that the sim being edited is not under your direct control
You will not get the options you need if you try to edit the Sim you are currently controlling.
Step 6. Hold down the Shift key and click on the sim you want to edit
Select "Change Sim" from the menu that appears.
Note that you cannot edit pregnant characters, imaginary friends, ghosts, vampires and mummies
Step 7. Wait for the character creation room to open, where you can edit it
It will probably take a few minutes.
Step 8. Make your changes
Remember that these actions periodically lead to crashes, since the game did not initially provide support for such an option. Not all changes you make will be saved when you finish working with a room, and the game may crash when you leave that room.
Editing a character will reset his age to the initial stage. For example, if your character has only one day left from youth to youth, then after editing, he will return to the beginning of the youth stage
Use this cheat at your own peril and risk.
Many users experienced severe application crashes, including crashes, when trying to launch a character creation room in the middle of a game. Be sure to save before using the cheat.
