There are several useful articles for sellers on eBay, but few cover the important aspect of bidding such as choosing the start and end of the auction. From a trading point of view, not all days are equal. By choosing the right day, you will maximize the chances of a successful auction.
Steps

Step 1. Find out the best time to close the trades
- Sunday night is the absolute leader in the number of bets on eBay. Increase your chances of bidding success by scheduling the auction to end at 11pm on Sunday.
- Friday and Saturday. Friday before 6pm can be a lucky day when targeting young people and students. However, weekends are usually more successful than weekdays.
- Mondays and Thursdays. There is bargaining on Mondays, a descendant of many people surfing the Internet (and especially eBay) during business hours to get away from the weekend. It is very convenient to close trades on Thursday during the spring and summer time, because many people will withdraw their bids before leaving for the weekend.

Step 2. Avoid days with low rates
- Wednesday. Wednesday is one of the worst days to start an auction on eBay for some reason.
- Tuesday. The rates are lower on Tuesdays than on any other day of the week.
Advice
- The above selection works for most products, including jewelry, apparel, leather goods, electrical appliances, digital cameras, accessories, designer items, popular collectibles, and so on. However, rare items are definitely worth putting up for a 10-day auction.
- The reason for this is that your target audience is smaller, so you need to maximize your reach. The eBay 10-day auction feature is ideal for this purpose. This is also true for high-value lots: cars, motorcycles, and so on.
- For most goods, it is better to choose short trades, not exceeding three days. This theory is based on the fact that most people shop on impulse. They do not like to bid at auctions where they have to wait a long time. A three-day auction will give you plenty of time to attract bidders while still being suitable for impatient, impulsive buyers.
- As you choose your auction dates, you will see that eBay offers five options: 1 day, 3 days, 5 days, 7 days, and 10 days.
