As an eBay user, you have the ability to block other users you don't want to work with. Users you block will not be able to bid or buy from you and will not be able to contact you regarding the items you have posted. In addition to blocking specific users, you can also block all users who are in specific states or countries. Follow the steps provided to add users to your blacklist on eBay.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Block Individual Users
Step 1. Go to eBay and log into your account
Step 2. Click “Sign in.”
Step 3. Go to “Managing Bidding and Buyers” on eBay by viewing the page at
Step 4. Move your cursor over the subsection titled “Blocking bidders and buyers.”
Step 5. Click on the link in this section titled “Block bidders or buyers from your listings page.”
Step 6. Enter the eBay username of the user you want to add to the blocked list
If you enter multiple eBay usernames, separate them with commas

Method 2 of 2: Block Users by State, Territory, or Country
Step 1. Log in to eBay using your username
Step 2. Click on “My eBay” in the upper right corner
Step 3. Hover over the “Account” tab and click on “Site Preferences.”
Step 4. Hover over “Shipping preferences” and click “Show” on the right
Step 5. Click “Edit” next to “Exclude shipping locations from your listings.”
Step 6. Check the box next to the states, territories or countries where you do not want to ship the item
You can also select entire continents.
Step 7. Click “Apply” to save your new shipping settings
Users located in countries you have blocked will no longer be able to buy from you or bid on your items.
For the changes to take effect, check the box next to the “Apply to all current live listings.”
Advice
- You can block up to 5,000 individual eBay users.
- Examples of scenarios where you might want to block specific users include a negative user experience or a new user with zero or negative feedback.
- Unblock an eBay user at any time by returning to the eBay “Managing Bidding and Buyers” page, removing the username from the blocked list and clicking “Submit.”
