This article will show you how to permanently delete your WordPress blog. This can be done in both mobile and desktop versions of WordPress. Once you delete a WordPress blog, it cannot be restored. Please note that some archived versions of your blog will remain searchable on Google for days or weeks after your blog is deleted. If you just want to delete a post on your site, you can do so without deleting the entire blog.
Steps
Method 1 of 4: Deleting a Site on a Computer

Step 1. Go to your WordPress site
Go to: https://wordpress.com/. If you are already signed in, you will be taken to the console page.
If you are not already signed in, click Sign In at the top right of the page and enter your email address and password

Step 2. Click on My Sites in the upper left corner of the page
A pop-up menu will appear.

Step 3. Make sure you are on the right blog
If you've created multiple blogs on the same account, click Switch Site in the upper left corner of the pop-up menu, then click the name of the blog you want to remove.

Step 4. Scroll down and tap Settings at the bottom of the pop-up menu to open the Settings page
- To scroll down to Settings, do not move the mouse cursor over the pop-up menu.

Step 5. Scroll down and click Remove Site
It's a red line at the very bottom of the page.

Step 6. Scroll down and click Remove Site at the bottom of the page

Step 7. Enter your website address when prompted
Click on the text box inside the popup and enter your full blog address as indicated at the top of the popup.
For example, if your blog is called "ilovehuskies.wordpress.com", then this is what you should enter in the text box

Step 8. Click Delete this site
This red button is in the lower right corner of the window. By clicking on it, you will delete your blog and make its address available again.
It can take a few days for a blog to disappear from the Google Archive pages
Method 2 of 4: Deleting a Site on a Mobile Device

Step 1. Open WordPress
Tap the WordPress app icon with the WordPress logo (letter "W"). If you are already signed in, you will be taken to your WordPress dashboard.
If you are not signed in yet, enter your email address and password to continue

Step 2. Tap the WordPress icon
On iPhone, you will find it in the lower left corner of the screen, and on Android, in the upper left corner of the screen. This will open the console of your main WordPress blog.

Step 3. Make sure you are on the right blog
If you've created multiple blogs on the same account, click Switch Site in the upper left corner of the screen, and then tap the name of the blog you want to remove.

Step 4. Scroll down and tap Settings
It's a gear-shaped icon at the bottom of the page.

Step 5. Scroll down and tap Delete Site at the bottom of the Settings page

Step 6. Tap Delete Site (iPhone) or Yes (Android).
You will be redirected to a confirmation page.

Step 7. Enter your website address when prompted
Enter the full URL of your blog as indicated in the text at the top of the pop-up menu.
For example, if your blog is named “pickledcucumbers.wordpress.com,” enter pickledcucumbers.wordpress.com in the text box

Step 8. Tap Permanently Delete Site
It's a red line below the text box. Click on this option to permanently remove your blog from WordPress.

On Android, you just need to press Delete.
- It can take a few days for a blog to disappear from the Google Archive pages.
Method 3 of 4: Delete one publication on your computer

Step 1. Go to your WordPress site
Go to: https://wordpress.com/. If you are already signed in, you will be taken to the console page.
If you are not already signed in, click Sign In at the top right of the page and enter your email address and password

Step 2. Click on My Sites in the upper left corner of the page
A pop-up menu will appear.

Step 3. Make sure you are on the right blog
If you've created multiple blogs on the same account, click Switch Site in the upper-left corner of the pop-up menu, and then click the name of the blog you want to remove the post from.

Step 4. Click Record
It's an option under the heading "Control" in the left column.

Step 5. Find the post you want to delete
Scroll down until you find the publication you want.

Step 6. Click on the ⋯ to the right of the publication
A dropdown menu will appear.

Step 7. Select Trash from the dropdown menu
This will immediately remove the post from WordPress.
Method 4 of 4: Delete a single post on a mobile device

Step 1. Open WordPress
Tap the WordPress app icon with the WordPress logo (letter "W"). If you are already signed in, you will be taken to your WordPress dashboard.
If you are not signed in yet, enter your email address and password to continue

Step 2. Tap the WordPress icon
On iPhone, you will find it in the lower left corner of the screen, and on Android, in the upper left corner of the screen. This will open the console of your main WordPress blog.

Step 3. Make sure you are on the right blog
If you've created multiple blogs on the same account, click Switch Site in the upper left corner of the screen, and then tap the name of the blog you want to remove the post from.

Step 4. Tap Record in the "Publications" section

Step 5. Tap More under the lower-right corner of the post
Skip this step on Android

Step 6. Tap the Trash Can below the post

Step 7. Tap Move to Trash when prompted
This will remove the post from the WordPress site.
- On Android, tap Delete in response to a request.
