This article will show you how to clear the Outlook AutoComplete cache on Windows and macOS computers. In this case, Outlook will not display matches when you enter the contact's name.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: On Windows

Step 1. Start Outlook
Double-click the blue and white envelope with a white O.

Step 2. Click File
It's an option in the upper-left side of the Outlook window. A pop-up window will appear.

Step 3. Click on Options
You will find this option in the middle of the popup. The Outlook preferences page will open.

Step 4. Click the Mail tab
It's in the upper left corner of the settings page.

Step 5. Scroll down and tap Clear AutoComplete List
This button is on the right side of the window.

Step 6. Click Yes when prompted
All autocomplete entries will be removed.
To prevent Outlook from using the AutoComplete list, clear the Use AutoComplete list to suggest names check box in the Send Messages section of your mail options
Method 2 of 2: macOS

Step 1. Start Outlook
Double-click the blue and white envelope with a white O.

Step 2. Hold Control and click on Inbox.
You will find your Inbox in the upper left side of the Home tab. A menu will open.

Step 3. Click Settings
It's at the bottom of the menu. A window with the Inbox settings will open.

Step 4. Click the General tab
It's in the upper-left corner of the Inbox settings window.

Step 5. Click Clear Cache
You will find this button on the right side of the window.

Step 6. Click Clear Cache if prompted
All autocomplete entries will be removed.
