Steps
Step 1. Log in to your Yahoo
Mail.
Step 2. In the upper right corner of the screen, click on the gear icon and select "Settings" from the menu that opens
Step 3. Go to the Security tab and in the Empty Spam folder section, set the frequency for emptying the Spam folder
Step 4. Blocking the address
Go to the Blocked Addresses tab and add any email addresses from which you receive spam.
Step 5. Add filters so that emails containing certain words, names or phrases are automatically sent to the Spam folder
You can also set up sending emails from a specific person to a specific folder. To add filters go to the Filters tab.
Advice
- Check your Spam folder from time to time, as it sometimes contains the emails you need.
- When you receive a letter that you have identified as spam, do not open it, but select it (check the box on the right side of the letter) and click "Spam" at the top. Thus, you will make it clear to the Yahoo system that such letters should be sent immediately to the Spam folder. Remember: opening suspicious emails puts you in danger.
