Email is a great way to stay connected, but what if your email address falls into the wrong hands? SPAM. In order to avoid this, almost all email providers allow you to block and filter emails from different senders. If you are tired of the fact that your inbox is quickly filled with unnecessary messages, then read this article to learn how to block such messages.
Steps
Method 1 of 6: Gmail

Step 1. Click on the gear button and select "Settings"
Gmail doesn't have the usual "Block" setting; instead, you'll create a custom filter that will automatically move messages from some senders to the trash.

Step 2. Open the Filters tab
Click Create New Filter at the bottom of the page. You may have to scroll down the pages to find this setting.
Also, you can create a quick filter if you click on the little arrow in the message window and select the "Filter related messages" option

Step 3. Enter the appropriate information in the input fields and select "Create a filter for this search"
You can enter a single address, comma-separated addresses, or entire domains including the last part of the address (after the @ symbol).

Step 4. Select the required actions by checking the boxes next to them for certain types of messages
Select the Mark as Read and Delete options to automatically send emails to Trash without notification. Click "Create Filter", then all subsequent emails from this sender will be automatically sent to the trash.
You can also delete all existing emails from this sender by checking the "Apply filter to existing conversations" option
Method 2 of 6: Yahoo! Mail

Step 1. Sign in to your Yahoo
Mail.
Enter your Yahoo! ID and password. The Yahoo! home page will open.

Step 2. Click on the Mail tab
Your mailbox will open.

Step 3. Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of the window
Select "Settings" from the menu that appears.

Step 4. Select the "Blocked addresses" tab
Enter the email address you want to block and click the "Block" button. You can block up to 500 email addresses on one of your accounts. All messages received from a blocked sender will be immediately deleted, and the sender will not receive a notification that the message has not been delivered.
- You can block entire domains by entering their names into the filter. This is very handy if you are still receiving spam from different addresses from the same domain. The domain address is specified after the "@" symbol.
- To remove an address from the list of blocked ones, select it and click the “Remove” button.
Method 3 of 6: Outlook.com

Step 1. Click on the "Settings" button
It looks like a gear and is located in the upper right corner of the Outlook.com window. Select Other Mail Options.

It is located in the "Fighting spam" section.

Step 3. Select "Blocked Senders"
A new page will open where you can add URLs to be blocked.

Step 4. Enter the address or domain you want to block
Domain is the part of the email address that goes immediately after the "@" symbol, and if you add a domain to the filter, then all messages from this domain will be blocked. Once you have entered the required address, click on the "Add to list" button.
Some domains cannot be blocked. To block such domains, open the "Other mail options" window and select "New message sorting rules." Click the "New" button, and then select "Sender address contains." Enter the name of the domain you want to block. Select an option Delete these messages and click Save
Method 4 of 6: iCloud Mail

In the window that appears, enter the address you want to block. You can add the whole address, or part of it, or the whole domain that comes after the "@" symbol. Thus, all messages sent from a specific domain will be blocked. Step 4. Select "Move to Trash".
So, all messages received from specific senders will be automatically moved to the trash. They will not show up in your inbox. Click Finish to save the new rule.
