This article will show you how to remove a user from a text channel or group chat in Discord on a computer.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Removing a User from a Channel

Step 1. Go to the address
www.discordapp.com. You can use any browser (like Firefox or Safari) to log into Discord.
If you are not automatically logged into your account, click on the "Open" button in the upper right corner of the screen, enter your credentials, and then click "Sign in"

Step 2. Select the server where the channel is located
Servers are listed on the left side of the screen.

Step 3. Select a channel
Channels are on the main panel. Here you will find the desired text channel, and on the right side of the page - a list of its participants.

Step 4. Click on the user you want to delete
A pop-up menu will appear on the screen.

Step 5. Click on Ban (username)
A pop-up message will appear on the screen.

Step 6. Click on Ban to confirm the action
The user will no longer be able to join the channel.
Method 2 of 2: Removing a User from a Group Chat

Step 1. Go to the address
www.discordapp.com. You can use any browser (like Firefox or Safari) to log into Discord.
- Although a user cannot be banned in private messages, he can be removed from the group. After that, he will no longer be able to participate in conversations.
- If you are not automatically logged into your account, click on the "Open" button in the upper right corner of the screen, enter your credentials, and then click "Sign in".

Step 2. Select a group chat
All your private messages, including those with multiple people (group chat), can be found under the heading Private Messages in the second column on the left side of the screen.

Step 3. Click on the "Participant List" icon in the upper right corner of the page
It looks like two silhouettes superimposed on each other. After that, a list of group members will appear.

Step 4. Click on the user you want to delete
A pop-up menu will then appear on the screen.
