Steps
Method 1 of 2: Search by Username
Step 1. Start Telegram
Click on the icon in the form of a white paper airplane on a blue background; this icon is on one of the desktops or in the app drawer.
Step 2. Click on the magnifying glass icon
You will find it in the upper right corner.
Step 3. Enter your username
The search results are displayed.
Step 4. Click on the desired name
A chat window will open.
Step 5. Tap ⁝
You will find this icon in the upper right corner of the chat.
Step 6. Tap Share my contacts
The selected person will be sent your phone number so they can add you to their contacts - when this happens, the selected person will also be added to your contacts.
Method 2 of 2: Find contacts in a group chat
Step 1. Start Telegram
Click on the icon in the form of a white paper airplane on a blue background; this icon can be found on one of the desktops or in the app drawer.
Step 2. Tap a group chat
The correspondence will open.
Step 3. Tap the group name
You will find it at the top of the screen. A list of participants in the group chat is displayed.
Step 4. Tap the required participant
Step 5. Click on the message icon
It looks like a square speech cloud and is in the upper right corner. A chat window will open.
Step 6. Tap ⁝
You will find this icon in the upper right corner of the chat.
Step 7. Tap Share my contacts
The selected person will be sent your phone number so they can add you to their contacts - when this happens, the selected person will also be added to your contacts.
