How to sign in to Discord on PC or Mac: 10 steps

This article will show you how to log into Discord on a computer. To do this, you can download the program to your computer or use the web version in your favorite browser.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: Desktop version of the program

Step 1. Launch Discord

If you installed Discord on a Windows or Mac computer, double-click the program icon (blue text cloud with a white game controller inside) in the Applications folder (macOS) or in the Start menu (Windows).

If you have not yet managed to install the program, go to https://discordapp.com/ and click on the link to download the app. When the installation file is downloaded, double-click on it to start the installation.

Step 2. Enter your email address in the "Email" field

This should be the address you registered with on Discord.

If you have not registered yet, click on the "Register" button

Step 3. Enter your password in the "Password" field

Because the password field is case sensitive, uppercase and lowercase letters are not interchangeable.

Step 4. Click Login

It's a big blue button below the Password field. If the password was entered correctly, you will be taken to the initial Discord screen.

Method 2 of 2: Web Application

Step 1. Launch your browser

You can use any browser to sign in to the web version of Discord, such as Chrome or Safari. You don't even have to download the application to your computer.
