Step 3. Create an account

If you have not registered yet, then the account creation window will open automatically when you enter the site. Creating your account is pretty simple: just enter your name and email address in the fields provided and come up with a password.

Step 1. Transfer your photos to your computer

Step 2. Open your Shutterfly page

Click on the "My Shutterfly" button at the top of the screen. This will take you to your personal Shutterfly page.

Once you are logged into your account, you can access most of Shutterfly's features through the My Shutterfly page

Step 3. Get ready to upload images

After you open your Shutterfly page, you will need to click on the “Add pictures” button. After that, you will be taken to another window where you can select files to upload, as well as create an album where you can place these images.

Step 4. Select images

Click on the "Choose files" button. This will allow you to select the images on your computer that you want to upload to the site. In order to load several images at once, you need to hold down the CTRL key on the keyboard and click on the images that you want to load. Then click on the "Open" button.

Once the photos are uploaded, you can view them by clicking on the "View pictures" button. You can also view them at any time by clicking on the “My Pictures” option at the top of the home page.

You can also view your photos individually by clicking on them one at a time, or launch the slideshow option to view them sequentially

Step 1. Decide how you want to share your photos with others

There are two ways on the site that you can share your photos: by email or by launching a public page where people can view your photos.

Emailing photos is much easier and better suited for users who are not that familiar with computers. The next few steps will explain how to share photos this way

Step 2. Start the exchange process

Go back to your My Shutterfly page and scroll down to the third section, My shared pictures and projects. Click on the "Share pictures" button. On the next screen, click on the “Get started” button on the right side of the screen.

The Get started button is for those who have never shared images before. The next time you want to send photos via email, you can skip this step

Step 3. Select the images you want to send

A new window will open where you can select the images or albums you want to share. Once you have made your selection, click on the Next button.

  • To select images individually, view them and click on the ones you want to send.
  • While viewing an album, you can share all of the images in it by clicking the “Share this album” link in the upper right corner of the screen.
  • You can send up to 250 images at a time.

Step 4. Submit images

You will see a new window in which you will need to enter the email addresses of the people with whom you want to share images, as well as the subject of the letter and the accompanying message. When you're done and you're ready to submit the images, click on the Share now button.

After you share your images, you can save the email addresses for future reference. If you often send photos to the same group of people, you can create groups inside Shutterfly's address book by clicking on the 'Add group' button

Step 5. Share your photos on a shared site

The Shared Site is a secure personal site where users you log in can view your images. You can make your shared site available to everyone, or you can restrict access to specific people only. Click on the “Share” tab at the top of the page. To get started, in the “Share Sites” field, click on the “Create a site” button. Building a shared website is more difficult than emailing photos, but Shutterfly will walk you through it step by step.

Part 4 of 4: Creating Photo Products

Step 1. Decide what you want to make

In addition to exchanging images, you can also order prints of your photos to make a greeting card, invitation, photo book, mugs and many other items.
