This article will teach you how to add an avatar to your Reddit profile by converting your profile to the new format.
Steps
Step 1. Open the website https://www.reddit.com in your browser
Sign in to your Reddit account if you haven't already.
Step 2. Click on your username
It can be found in the upper right corner of the Reddit interface. This will open your personal account. There is a blue line in the main column that will prompt you to switch to the new profile format.
Step 3. Click Details
This blue button is at the top of the screen.
Step 4. Read the agreement and check the appropriate box
The agreement describes the new features. By checking the box, you will let the system know that everyone has read, agrees with everything and understand that the conversion of the account is irreversible.
Step 5. Click I want a new profile
This button is under agreement. The settings page for your new profile will open.
Step 6. Click Upload Photo
This blue button is under the heading “Profile Image”. Next, "Explorer" will open.
Step 7. Double click on the photo you want to upload
If it is not in the folder that opened first, just go to the desired directory and upload the photo to your profile.
- You can also upload an avatar cover for the top of your profile. To do this, you need to press the button Upload a photo, which is located under the heading “Profile Cover”, and then select the desired image.
- Now that you have converted your profile, you can enter your nickname and information about yourself in the "About me" field. This, however, is a purely optional step.
Step 8. Click Return to Profile
This link is in the upper left corner of the window. Now your profile will have a new avatar and cover (if you have chosen one).
