Apple's Macintosh computers running OS X are gaining an increasing share of the computer market. This is largely due to the move of PC users to Mac. While this transition is fairly straightforward, there are still some applications that a first-time Mac user might want to try. One such application is the Internet Explorer browser.
Since Internet Explorer is no longer supported on a Mac device, many users have installed software such as VMWare Fusion, Parallels, or Apple's BootCamp. They are quite expensive, but not always the best solution.
The free WineBottler application is very easy to use and will allow you to run Internet Explorer on your device. Here's how to do it.
Steps

Step 1. Download the WineBottler program
You can download it from the link http://winebottler.kronenberg.org/. The download should start immediately.

Step 2. Open the disk image
Copy Wine and WineBottler to your Applications folder.

Step 3. Install X11
If you haven't done so before, you can find it on your OS X installation disc and install. This system component will serve as the basis for running the WineBottler program.

Step 4. Run the WineBottler application
You will be asked if you exactly want to open the application. Click "Open".

Step 5. Click the Install button next to the version of Internet Explorer you want to use, then follow the prompts

Step 6. Select the Applications folder from the drop-down menu and click Save
- You may see a message that you need to restart your computer. Click the restart button. Only the emulation will reboot, not the computer.
- WineBottler will notify you when the installation is complete.

Step 7. Launch Internet Explorer
Enter the desired URL in the address bar and press Enter.
