To quickly go to the desktop on your Mac, you need to press a keyboard shortcut, swipe the trackpad in a certain way, or set a keyboard shortcut.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Keyboard shortcut

Step 1. Press Fn + F11 to go to the desktop.
Alternatively, press ⌘ Command + F3
Method 2 of 3: Trackpad

Step 1. Place four fingers (excluding the little finger) on the trackpad
Make sure that a program window (for example, a browser) is currently open in order to be able to go to the desktop.

Step 2. Spread your thumb and other three fingers apart
You will be taken to your desktop.
- To view this gesture, open the Apple menu in the upper left corner.
- Click System Preferences.
- Click on "Trackpad".
- Click More gestures.
- Click on "Show Desktop". The gesture animation will appear on the right side of the screen.
Method 3 of 3: Custom keyboard shortcuts

Step 1. Open the Apple menu (in the menu bar at the top of your screen)
To set your own keyboard shortcut for quick access to the desktop, open the Mission Control menu.

Step 2. Click System Preferences

Step 3. Click on "Keyboard"

Step 4. Press Keyboard shortcut

Step 5. Click on Mission Control
You will find this option on the left side of the screen.

Step 6. Click Show Desktop on the right side of the screen

Step 7. Click Show Desktop again

Step 8. Enter your keyboard shortcut
If you are using one of the F keys, hold down the Fn key, and then enter the keyboard shortcut

Step 9. Click the red X
The keyboard shortcut will be saved.
