Sticky notes can remind you of certain events and deeds. You can use notes on your Mac dashboard to remind you of your tasks. The notes will be displayed on the computer and whenever you look at the dashboard, you will see a note and remember the business that you have to do. Read this article to learn how to create notes on your Mac dashboard.
Steps
Part 1 of 3: Create a note

Step 1. Go to the dashboard
Press the F2 key on your keyboard.
- If you have a dashboard app on the quick launch bar, you can click on the app.
- If you want to get to the dashboard in a quick way, you can use the Finder function to drag and drop an application onto the quick launch bar.
- You can also drag any 3 or 4 applications to the left to the Quick Launch bar.

Step 2. Click the + sign in the lower left corner
This will open a menu.

Step 3. Select the "Notes" option
The note will appear as soon as you click the "Notes" button
Step 4. Click on the "X" in the upper left corner of the menu
Part 2 of 3: Adding Color to Notes

Step 1. Press the "i" button located in the lower right corner of the note
When you click a button, the sticky note will show you the color options that you can select

Step 2. Choose any color

Step 3. Click Finish

Step 4. Click the X button in the upper left corner of the menu
Part 3 of 3: Changing the type and size of text

Step 1. Press "i" again

Step 2. Choose the font size and style
Fonts can be found under color options.

Step 3. Click Finish

Step 4. Start filling out your note
Advice
- You can move the note around the screen if you want.
- To select the font size, you can select the "Auto" option. The font size will be set automatically.
- If you want to change the color / style or size of the font, just press the "i" button.
- If you no longer need the reminder, then click the X in the upper right corner of the note.
