How to add exceptions to Windows 8 Firewall

Windows Firewall will often block Windows 8 applications from working properly. You can solve this problem by adding an exception and allowing the program to bypass the firewall restrictions.

Step 1. Locate the Windows Firewall from the Windows 8 Start menu

Go to the "Settings" section.
