Method 1 of 2: Using a keypad with a number pad
Step 1. Click where you want to enter the heart symbol
Step 2. Hold Alt
Step 3. Press 3 on the numeric keypad
A heart symbol (♥) will appear where the cursor is.
Method 2 of 2: Using a keyboard without a numeric keypad
Step 1. Click where you want to enter the heart symbol
Step 2. Press NumLock
Typically, this key is located in the upper-right side of the keyboard.
Step 3. Hold Alt
Step 4. Press 3 on the virtual keyboard
Typically, this number is on or next to the J, K, or L keys. A heart symbol (♥) appears where the cursor is.
