Tired of listening to the radio in your car? With the right approach, you can take your entire iPad library on the road. If your car radio supports Bluetooth, you don't even need wires. If you have an old car, there are several ways to listen to music from your tablet through your car speakers.
Steps
Method 1 of 4: Bluetooth

Step 1. Make sure your car radio supports Bluetooth
Most modern car radios support Bluetooth, but if you have an old car, you may need to install a new car radio or skip to the next sections of this article.
- Your radio must support Bluetooth A2DP in order to play music from your iPad.
- If your radio has an auxiliary socket and does not support Bluetooth, you can use a Bluetooth module that plugs into the auxiliary socket.

Step 2. Launch the Settings app on your iPad

Step 3. Tap "Bluetooth" and then turn on Bluetooth

Step 4. Open the "Settings" menu in your radio
This process depends on the model of your car radio.

Step 5. Select the "Phone" option even if you are connecting a tablet

Step 6. Select "Connect"
The car radio starts searching for a Bluetooth signal from your iPad.

Step 7. In the iPad, in the Bluetooth menu, select the model of your radio or car
It should appear in the list of available devices.

Step 8. Enter the PIN shown on the display of the radio
This is usually 0000.

Step 9. Wait until the connection is established
This may take some time. A message appears on the monitor display that the device is connected.

Step 10. Play music
To do this, switch to the input signals from AUX or Bluetooth.
Method 2 of 4: Using a 3.5mm audio cable

Step 1. Connect the audio cable
Connect one end of the cable to the headphone jack on the iPad and the other end to the auxiliary jack on the radio.

Step 2. Select a sound source
To do this, on the radio tape recorder, press "Source" or "Mode" until the display shows "AUX".

Step 3. Launch iTunes
Open iTunes on iPad and select the music you want. The music will start playing through the car audio system.
Method 3 of 4: Using an FM Transmitter

Step 1. Connect the transmitter and iPad
Connect the 3.5mm transmitter cable to the headphone jack on the iPad.
If you live in an urban area, you may find it difficult to use the FM transmitter due to the crowded air

Step 2. Connect the power of the FM transmitter to the cigarette lighter

Step 3. Select a radio frequency on the FM transmitter

Step 4. Turn on the radio mode (FM frequency) on the radio
Tune in to the same frequency that you have selected on the transmitter.

Step 5. Launch iTunes
Play the music you want.
Method 4 of 4: Using a cassette adapter

Step 1. Insert the cassette into the radio

Step 2. Connect the 3.5mm cable to the headphone jack on iPad

Step 3. Select a sound source
To do this, press the "Source" or "Mode" button on the radio tape recorder until the message "Cassette" appears on the display.

Step 4. Start playing the tape
You may need to press the tape play button before you hear sound from the speakers.

Step 5. Launch iTunes
Select the song you want. Music will start to be produced through the car audio system.
