Due to the relatively low price of the Amazon Kindle, many people use it with an iPad, or at least have a Kindle account, so they can access more books than iBooks offers. This article describes how to download Kindle books to your iPad.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Install the Kindle app
Step 1. Click on the AppStore icon on the home screen of your iPad to open the AppStore application
Step 2. Enter 'Kindle' in the search bar in the upper right corner of the AppStore window, and click Search
Step 3. Tap the Free button next to the Kindle app in the iPad Apps section, then tap Install
Step 4. Enter your Apple ID login and password in the window that appears, and click OK to install the application
Method 2 of 2: Download a Kindle book
Step 1. Tap on the Kindle icon on the home screen of your iPad to launch the application
Step 2. Enter your Amazon account details and click Register This Kindle
Step 3. All your Kindle purchases will appear on the screen
Click on the cover of the book to download it.
Step 4. After the download is complete, tap on the cover again to open the book in the Kindle app
Advice
- If you haven't made any purchases on your Kindle, you won't see any books in your library. However, you can visit the Kindle Store at any time and purchase them.
- After installing the Kindle app, your iPad will be assigned a unique name so you can add Kindle books to the device of your choice.
Warnings
When you uninstall the Kindle app, any books you downloaded will be deleted as well. However, you can download them again using the app or browser
