iPad is one of the most popular electronic devices. You can use your iPad to connect to the Internet, read books, listen to music, play games, check email, and more. It's easy to connect your iPad to your Windows computer, allowing you to sync content from your iTunes library to your iPad.
Steps

Step 1. Install iTunes
Do this before connecting your iPad to your computer. iTunes is a free download from the iTunes website.
If you already have iTunes installed, update it

Step 2. Turn on iPad
Your iPad must be turned on for you to connect it to your computer. If iPad is off, press and hold the power button for a few seconds until the Apple logo appears. If the iPad battery is low, charge it before connecting the device to the computer.

Step 3. Connect iPad using USB cable
Use the charging cable that came with your device or any other cable that works with Apple devices. Connect the device directly to your computer instead of a USB hub to avoid problems.

Step 4. Install the iPad software
The first time you connect the device to your computer, Windows will install the necessary drivers. This process will take place automatically, but it may take some time.

Step 5. Open iTunes
iTunes will usually launch automatically when you connect your iPad to your computer. If it doesn't, launch iTunes from the Start menu or a shortcut on your desktop.

Step 6. Set up your new iPad
The first time you connect your iPad to your computer, you will be prompted to start setting up your device. Don't worry - nothing will be deleted from iPad. You just give the device a name.

Step 7. Select your iPad
With iTunes open, you can select iPad under Devices (in the left sidebar). If the sidebar is not visible, click View - Hide Sidebar. By choosing iPad, you can manage its contents.
If your iPad is not in the Devices menu, check to see if the device is turned on. If you are unable to connect your iPad to your computer, put your device into recovery mode

Step 8. Use iTunes to sync content
With iPad selected, use the tabs at the top of the iTunes window to manage the content you want to sync. You can add music, movies, apps, books, podcasts, and more. In order to add information to iPad, you need to add it to your iTunes library.

Step 9. When finished, remove the iPad
To do this, right-click your iPad in the Devices section (in the sidebar) and select Eject. This will allow you to safely disconnect your iPad from your computer.
