In this article, we'll walk you through how to connect your Kindle Fire HD tablet to your TV. This can be done wirelessly using a Fire TV or using an HDMI-microHDMI cable. Keep in mind that you won't be able to connect a standard Kindle Fire to your TV.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Using Amazon Fire TV

Step 1. Connect your Fire TV to your TV's HDMI port
To stream an image from your Kindle Fire HD to your TV, you need to connect a Fire Stick or Fire Box to it.
Connect your Kindle Fire HD and Fire TV to the same wireless network, and log into the same Amazon account on both devices

Step 2. Turn on your TV
Until you see a picture from the Kindle Fire HD on it, because on the tablet you need to activate the broadcast of the image from the screen.
Tune the TV to the signal from the connector to which the Fire TV is connected (for example, to the signal from the “HDMI 3” connector)

Step 3. Swipe down on the Kindle Fire HD screen
A menu will open.

Step 4. Launch the "Settings" application

This gear-shaped icon is in the upper-right corner.

Step 5. Tap Display & Sounds
You will find this option at the bottom of the screen.

Step 6. Click Display Mirroring
You will find this option at the bottom of the screen.
If this option is not available, your Kindle Fire HD model cannot enable screencast

Step 7. Wait until the TV name appears on the screen, then tap it
The name will appear in the Devices section in the middle of the screen. If your TV has the words “Mirroring” under the name of your TV, you've successfully cast your Kindle Fire HD screen picture to your TV.
If the TV name is displayed, but there is no tablet picture on it, move closer to the TV or remove obstacles that are blocking the Fire Box signals
Method 2 of 2: Using an HDMI cable

Step 1. Buy an HDMI to microHDMI cable
At one end of such a cable there is an HDMI plug, and at the other end there is a microHDMI plug.
- The 2017 Kindle Fire HD does not have an HDMI connector.
- If your TV does not have an HDMI port, buy an HDMI to RCA adapter and a set of RCA cables with plugs on both ends.

Step 2. Connect your Kindle Fire HD to your TV using an HDMI cable
Insert the larger plug into the TV, and the smaller plug into the microHDMI port of the tablet.
- You will find the microHDMI port near the charging port on the bottom of the Kindle Fire HD.
- If you bought an HDMI to RCA adapter, do the following: connect your Kindle Fire HD to the adapter using an HDMI cable, and then connect the adapter to your TV using RCA cables.

Step 3. Turn on your TV
The picture from the tablet screen should appear on the TV. You may need to rotate the Kindle Fire HD so that the image appears on the TV properly.
If necessary, tune the TV to the signal source from the connector to which the tablet is connected (for example, from the “Video 3” connector)
Warnings
- Only the Kindle Fire HD can be connected to the TV - the standard Kindle Fire cannot be connected.
- If your Kindle Fire HD is older than OS 2.0, your tablet will not connect to your TV wirelessly.
