The Kindle Fire is an iPad-like product released by Amazon in 2011. The Kindle Fire lets you not only download and read books, but also listen to music, browse the web, or watch movies. There are many ways to download books to your Kindle Fire. If you would like to know how to do this, follow these steps.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Use the Amazon Store on your Kindle Fire

Step 1. Enter the main menu
You will see this page by default as soon as you turn on your Kindle. Remember, before you can download books to your Kindle, you need to connect to WiFi and register it.

Step 2. Select "Books"
It's near the top of the screen, next to News and Music. You will go to the shelves, where you will see all available and downloaded books.

Step 3. Select "Store"
You can find this option in the upper right corner. It will be a small arrow pointing to the right.

Step 4. Browse the books
Explore the entire range of the Kindle Store. You can browse by category such as Bestsellers or Popular Science by clicking Browse Books, or you can search for a specific title by entering the title of a book in the search box.
You can also type "free books" in the search box for a list of available free books

Step 5. Select a book
Click on a book and you will be taken to a screen where you will find the cost of the book, its rating, cover, and description. If the book is available for rent, you will see a "One Click Rent" button. If a sample book can be obtained, there will be a "Try a sample" option. The sample book is a free and easy way to check if you like the book.

Step 6. Click Buy
If you have an Amazon Prime membership, you will have the option of renting the book for free (if there is such an option at all). With the "Buy" option, you will purchase the book through your Amazon.com account with just one click. The book will then start downloading to your Kindle Fire.
- If you are not logged in, you may be prompted for your username and password to continue.
- Wait for the book to download completely. Once this happens, you will see a "Read Now" button.

Step 7. Read the new book
Click on the "Books" tab again and select a book to start reading.
Method 2 of 3: Use the Amazon store on your computer

Step 1. Log in to www.amazon.com
You will be taken to the Amazon home page. If you have used this site on this computer before, you will be logged in immediately. If not used, you must enter a username and password. Remember, for this to work, you need to register your Kindle Fire.

Step 2. Study the books
You can enter book titles in the search box, or select "Kindle" at the top of the screen and browse books by category, such as Featured, Bestsellers, or Genres.

Step 3. Select a book
Once you make a decision, click on the book and you will be taken to a screen where you will find the cost of the book, its rating, cover and description.

Step 4. Select your device
In the upper right corner of the screen, select your device under Delivery.

Step 5. Click Buy
You will see an orange button in the upper right corner of the screen above your device. Once you select it, the purchase will be sent and delivered to your Kindle Fire.

Step 6. Turn on your Kindle Fire

Step 7. Go to "Books"
Find a new book in the library. You can click on it and wait for the download to finish.

Step 8. Enjoy your new book
Once you've found the book and finished downloading it, you can start reading.
Method 3 of 3: Use a third-party site on a computer

Step 1. Open your browser

Step 2. Select a book
There are many free books to be found online. The 1-page version of the book is easiest to find. Can you also choose a book that you wrote? or a friend sent you an email. Just make sure it's in PDF format.

Step 3. Download the book in PDF format
If it's a Word document, convert it to PDF after downloading.

Step 4. Save the file on your computer

Step 5. Connect your Kindle Fire to your computer
Remember, you will have to purchase a separate USB cable to do this.

Step 6. Unlock the Kindle Fire screen

Step 7. Open your Kindle drive
On a PC, you can find it under "Computer". On a Mac, it should be on your desktop.

Step 8. Drag the file to your Kindle drive
Wait for the transfer to complete.

Step 9. Disconnect your Kindle
After the file has finished transferring, you can safely disconnect your Kindle.

Step 10. Select "Documents" from the home page of your Kindle
You can find this option at the top of the screen.

Step 11. Enjoy your book
Just click on the book and start reading.
