Steps
Method 1 of 2: On iOS 7 and above

Step 1. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen
The Control Center will open.
If Control Center doesn't open, activate it

Step 2. Click "Lock orientation"
You will find this option in the upper right corner of the Control Center; it is marked with a round arrow with a lock. From now on, the screen orientation will not change even if you rotate the device.
The indicated icon will be red if the option is activated. To disable this option, tap the icon again
Method 2 of 2: How to turn on Control Center

Step 1. Launch the Settings app
Click the gray gears icon (⚙️) on the home screen.

Step 2. Tap Control Center
You will find this option at the top of the menu; it is indicated by a series of white sliders.

Step 3. Move the slider next to "Lock screen access" to the "Enable" position
The slider turns green.

Step 4. Move the slider next to "Access in programs" to the "On" position
It will turn green; Control Center is now on.
