Learn how to permanently remove the “While You Away” section from your iPhone or iPad Twitter feed.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Disable While You Away Feature

Step 1. Launch Twitter on your iPhone or iPad
The Twitter icon looks like a white bird in a blue square. You can find it on one of the desktops or in the control room.

Step 2. Tap your photo in the upper left corner of the screen
A navigation bar appears on the left side of the page.

Step 3. Tap Privacy & Settings on the navigation bar to open the settings menu on a new page

Step 4. Tap Content Settings
This menu controls the content of the feed.

Step 5: Move the switch to Show best tweets first into position
As long as this option is disabled, the "While you were away" section will not appear in your feed. The Twitter icon looks like a white bird in a blue square. You can find it on one of the desktops or in the control room. This button looks like a small house icon in the lower left corner of the screen. Your feed will open. The difference between this feature and While You Were Away is that it uses a different algorithm to select which tweets to display. Step 4. Tap the button next to "In case you missed" to display various options at the bottom of the screen. From now on, this section will no longer appear in your feed.
Method 2 of 2: Turn off the "Just in case you missed" feature
Step 1. Launch Twitter on your iPhone or iPad
Step 2. Tap the Home icon
Step 3. Scroll down and find the "In case you missed" section
Step 5. Tap Less on the pop-up menu
While the "Just in case you missed" section cannot be disabled and removed entirely, you can make it less likely to appear in your timeline
