You can move the icons that appear on the iPad home screen to make it easier to launch frequently used applications. To add an icon to your home screen, drag the icon to the screen, create a website shortcut, or install a new app from the App Store.
Method 1 of 3: How to move the icon to the home screen
Step 1. Go to the icon you want to move to the iPad home screen
Step 2. Press and hold the icon until it starts to shake
Step 3. Drag the icon to the right or left towards the home screen and then position it where you want
Step 4. Remove your finger from the screen
From now on, the icon you moved will be displayed on the iPad home screen.
Method 2 of 3: How to Create a Site Shortcut
Step 1. Open the website you want to create a shortcut for on the iPad home screen
Step 2. Tap the "+" sign to the left of the address bar, and then select "Add to Home Screen" from the menu

On older versions of iOS, tap the square with an arrow instead of the "+" icon
Method 3 of 3: How to install the app
Step 1. Launch the App Store
To do this, tap the icon of this application.
Step 2. Find the app you want to add an icon to the iPad home screen
For example, to add a Facebook icon, enter "Facebook" in the search bar.
Step 3. Click on the required application in the search results
Step 4. Click "Free" or "Buy" and follow the onscreen instructions to install the app on your iPad
Step 5. Wait for the application to be installed
An app icon appears on the iPad home screen to indicate that the app can be used.
