Steps
Method 1 of 2: iPod Touch
Step 1. Press and hold the Sleep / Wake button
It is located on the upper right side of the iPod case.
Step 2. Release the button when the Power Off slider appears at the top of the screen
It will be displayed in 3-5 seconds.
Step 3. Swipe the slider to the right
The iPod turns off.
- Press and hold the Sleep / Wake button to turn on the iPod; when the Apple logo appears on the screen, release this button.
- If the iPod is not responding, restart it.
Method 2 of 2: iPod Classic / Nano / Shuffle
Step 1. Press and hold the Play / Pause button until the screen goes blank
Step 2. Slide the lock switch to the "On" position (orange)
- Slide the lock switch to the Off (white) position to turn on the device.
- If the iPod is not responding, restart it.
