In this article, you will learn how to navigate and use the options in the online graphics editor Pixlr to change an image or photo.
Steps

Step 1. Go to the Pixlr website
Follow this link: https://pixlr.com/editor/. You will be taken to the main Pixlr page, where you can select an image to edit.
Depending on your browser, you may be asked to enable Adobe Flash. In this case, click on an empty space on the page, click on the "Allow" option and refresh the page

Step 2. Upload your photo
Click on one of the following options:
- Create a new drawing - allows you to draw a new image. You will be asked for the size of the image.
- Upload image from computer - you can select an image on your computer. Click on the image you want to open and then click “Open” in the lower right corner.
- Open Image URL - paste the web address of the photo into the text field that appears to upload it to the Pixlr window.
- Open image from library - if you have a Pixlr account, login and select an existing image from the library.

Step 3. Wait for the image to load
When the image opens, start modifying it.

Step 4. Browse the different tabs
At the top left of the page is a series of tabs that include the following options:
- File - contains options related to the current image (such as saving, loading or printing an image).
- Edit - Contains basic editing options such as Undo or Cut.
- Image - contains image options including cropping, resizing and rotating images.
- Layer - in this tab you can manage the different layers that are currently open in Pixlr (for example, if you have one photo open on top of another, then you have two layers).
- Correction - Here you will find options related to the structure and appearance of the image, including options such as Exposure, Color Balance, and Saturation.
- Filter - contains filters and other visual modifiers like "Noise".
- View - contains options for viewing the image. For example, you can zoom in or out, or remove some tool options from the page.
- Language - allows you to change the menu language.
- reference - contains additional information in case you have any questions.

Step 5. Get familiar with the editor interface
There are several important points to note in the Pixlr window:
- Toolbar - On the left side of the Pixlr window there is a vertical panel with various options for working with photos, including "Fill" and "Text". This panel is used to make custom visual effects, minor cuts and other minor changes. To find out what each option is responsible for, hover the mouse cursor over it and an explanation will appear in a few seconds.
- Image section - your image will be in the middle of the page. This is where most of the changes will be made.
Step 6. Find the "Navigator" field
On the right side of the window there is a column with three fields:
- Navigator - contains options for zooming in and out, as well as options for changing the size of the image.
- Layers - displays various layers of effects on the project. Click on a specific layer to select it and edit it without affecting other layers.
- Magazine - a list of all actions in the project is displayed here. This is very useful when you need to determine which actions should be redone and which should be undone without closing the image.

Step 7. Make changes to the image
Now that you are familiar with the available features, start making changes and adding effects.
Experiment a little with each tool to get a better understanding of it. Edits made can be reversed by clicking on the "Edit" tab and then "Undo"

Step 8. Save the image
When you're done making changes to the image, save it by doing the following:
- click "File";
- select "Save …";
- select "My Computer";
- click "Yes";
- select a folder on your computer and click Save.
