Don't be afraid to resize images and don't leave the monstrously giant images unchanged. The images should fit your needs. In fact, downsizing is a very simple operation and is easy to do with Adobe Photoshop.
Steps

Step 1. Open the image you want to resize

Step 2. Make a copy of the file in case the new size image does not suit you
From the main menu choose Image> Duplicate or simply File> Save As and save the file with a new name.

Step 3. In the "Image" section of the menu, select "Image Size" or press Alt + Ctrl + I
A window will appear showing the current size of the image.
The Image Size window will display two types of data: Dimension and Printout Size. To resize the image, you need to adjust the "Dimension"

Step 4. Enter new data in the fields for width and height
If you did not change the initial settings, then when you enter the width, the height will change automatically. This is confirmed by a small icon with a lock.

Step 5. To change the built-in aspect ratio, uncheck the "Maintain aspect ratio" checkbox
Now you can arbitrarily set the width and height separately.

Step 6. To resize the image by a certain number of percent, in the drop-down menu to the right of the width and height instead of “pix
"Select" percent ". Moving from pixels to percentages, you can change the entire image at once in proportion to the original.
For example, the original file was 2200 pixels wide by 1400 pixels high; if you reduce it by 50%, its width becomes 1100 pixels, and its height becomes 700 pixels

Step 7. Congratulations
You are now able to resize images using Adobe Photoshop.
