This article will show you how to resize your artboard in Adobe Illustrator.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: How to resize a single artboard
Step 1. Open your project in Illustrator
To do this, double click on it. Open your project in Illustrator to resize your artboard.
Step 2. Find the desired artboard
In the panel on the right side of the page, find the name of the artboard you want.
If this panel is not active, open the Window menu (at the top of the window) and select Artboards from it
Step 3. Double click on the Artboard icon
It's a + (plus) symbol to the right of the artboard name. A pop-up window will open.
Step 4. Change the width of the artboard
To do this, change the number in the "Width" field.
Step 5. Change the height of the artboard
To do this, change the number in the "Height" field.
Step 6. Click OK
This button is at the bottom of the window. The changes are saved and the artboard is resized.
To reposition a picture on the artboard, select the picture, and then drag the dotted line that appears
Method 2 of 3: How to resize multiple artboards
Step 1. Open your project in Illustrator
To do this, double click on it. Open your project in Illustrator to resize your artboard.
Step 2. Select the desired artboards
In the Artboards panel on the right side of the page, you will find a list of your artboards; hold Ctrl (Windows) or ⌘ Command (Mac) and click each desired artboard.
If this panel is not active, open the Window menu (at the top of the window) and select Artboards from it
Step 3. Press ⇧ Shift + O
The selected artboards are selected, and their sizes are displayed at the top of the window.
Step 4. Resize the artboards
Enter the dimensions you want in the "W" (width) or "H" (height) boxes at the top of the page.
To reposition a picture on the artboard, select the picture, and then drag the dotted line that appears
Method 3 of 3: How to resize the artboard to fit the image
Step 1. Open your project in Illustrator
To do this, double click on it. Open your project in Illustrator to resize your artboard.
Step 2. Open the Object menu
It is located at the top of the window.
Step 3. Select Artboards
It's at the bottom of the menu. A new menu will open.
Step 4. Click Fit to Artwork
This option is in the new menu. The artboard will be resized to fit the image.
