This article will show you how to remove a portion of the audio track, remove background noise, and get rid of vocals in Audacity. Keep in mind that the Vocal Removal feature in Audacity is not yet finalized, so you won't be able to remove all vocals.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: How to delete a portion of an audio track

Step 1. Launch Audacity
Click on the orange sound wave icon between the blue headphones.

Step 2. Open the File menu
You will find it in the upper left corner.

Step 3. Click on Open
It's an option on the File menu. A new window will open.

Step 4. Select an audio track
To do this, click on the desired track.

Step 5. Click on Open
It's in the lower right corner. The audio file will open in Audacity.

Step 6. Select the section of the track you want to delete
To do this, hold down the left mouse button and move the pointer along the unnecessary fragment to select it.

Step 7. Press the Delete key
The fragment will be deleted.
You can also open the Edit menu and select Delete from it
Method 2 of 3: How to remove background noise

Step 1. Select a fragment of the audio track with background noise
To do this, hold down the mouse button and move the pointer along the fragment with only background noise (if possible).
If it is not easy to select a section with noise, select the section of the track where the background noise is most noticeable

Step 2. Click Effects
This tab is at the top of the window / screen. A menu will open.

Step 3. Click on Noise Reduction
It's in the center of the Effects menu.

Step 4. Click Get Noise Profile
This button is at the top of the window. Audacity will now detect what is background noise and what is not.

Step 5. Select a fragment of the track with the background
You can also click on a track and press Ctrl + A (Windows) or ⌘ Command + A (Mac) to select the entire track, which is ideal if you're working with a song.

Step 6. Click on Effectsand then press Repeat Noise reduction.
It's an option at the top of the menu. The proposed noise reduction algorithm will be applied to the track.

Step 7. Reduce background noise (if necessary)
If background noise is still visible, repeat the process to remove it. You may need to do this several times.
To increase the amount of background noise removed, click Noise Reduction and move the Noise Reduction slider to the right
Method 3 of 3: How to remove vocals

Step 1. Select the entire track
Click on an audio track and then press Ctrl + A (Windows) or ⌘ Command + A (Mac).

Step 2. Open the Effects menu
It's at the top of the window / screen.

Step 3. Scroll down the menu and select Remove Vocal
You may have to click the down arrow at the bottom of the menu to find this option. A new menu will open.

Step 4. Click on the plugin to remove vocals
In the pop-up menu to the right of the drop-down menu, click on the link. The Delete Vocal window will open.

Step 5. Click on OK
Some of the vocals will be removed. Although the deletion will not be absolute, you will notice a significant difference as a result.
