Files with the "ODT" extension are inherent in the "Open Office.org" and "LibreOffice" programs. If you have Word 2010 or newer, you can open the ODT file by simply double-clicking it. If you are using an earlier version of Word, or are using Word for Mac, then you cannot do without first converting the file.

Method 1 of 4: Using WordPad (Windows)

Step 1. Right-click on the file with the extension

Depending on the web service chosen, after the conversion is complete, you will be redirected to a download page, or you will receive a download link to your email address.
