With Google Earth, you can navigate a virtual globe created using satellite imagery. Installing Google Earth takes a few minutes; you can also install the application in your browser or download and install it on your phone or tablet.

Method 1 of 3: Installing Google Earth on Your Computer
Step 1. Check if your computer meets the minimum requirements of the program
For Google Earth to work properly, the computer must have minimum hardware specifications, for smoother operation, the specifications should be slightly higher. Modern computers are suitable for this task. The following are the system specifications of your computer that are required for the application to work best:

Step 2. Go to the Google Earth website
You can download the Google Earth app for free from the Google website. When you go to the Google Earth site, you will be greeted with a "Hello, Earth" message and a random Google Maps snapshot.
Step 3. Click on the "Google Earth" link
Two options will appear in the center of the page: Google Earth and Google Earth Pro. The standard Google Earth application is available free of charge to everyone. The Pro version is paid, but contains more tools for marketers and business planning.
Step 4. Click on the "For PC" option
You will be taken to the Google Earth for PC page. This version of the program also works on laptops; “For PC” means that you download an application to your computer, not a browser application.
Step 5. Click on the Download Google Earth button
The button is located at the bottom right of the collage on the Google Earth Desktop page.
Step 6. Read and accept the Terms
You must read the Privacy Policy before downloading. Downloading the app means you agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Step 7. Click the "Submit and Download" button
The installation files will be downloaded to your computer. Depending on your browser settings, you may need to confirm file uploads.

Step 8. Install Google Earth
Once the installation files are downloaded, install the app.
- Windows - Double click on the installation file. The program will connect to the Google Earth server to download some required files. After that, the installation of the application and the launch of the program will begin. You don't have to do anything else.
- Mac - Double click on the.dmg file downloaded to your computer. This will open a folder containing the Google Earth app. Drag the application icon to the Applications folder. You can now launch Google Earth from the Applications folder.
- Ubuntu Linux - Open Terminal Ctrl + Alt + T, type sudo apt-get install lsb-core, press Enter. After installing the lsb package, double click on the.deb file. The application will be installed and you can find it in Applications → Internet.

Method 2 of 3: Installing the Google Earth Plugin for Browser
Step 1. Verify compliance
You can download a browser plug-in that allows you to use Google Earth on web pages and enable viewing of Earth in Google Maps. Your computer must meet the requirements outlined in the previous section and your browser must meet the following versions or higher:
- Chrome 5.0+
- Internet Explorer 7+
- Firefox 2.0+ (3.0+ OS X)
- Safari 3.1+ (OS X)
Step 2. Go to the Google Earth website
You can download the plugin from google site. When you go to the Google Earth site, you will be greeted with a "Hello, Earth" message and a random Google Maps snapshot.
Step 3. Click on the "Google Earth" link
Two options will appear in the center of the page: Google Earth and Google Earth Pro. The Google Earth plugin is available for free for everyone.
Step 4. Click on the "Web version" option
The Google Earth plugin page will load. Google will offer to automatically install the plugin. Depending on your browser settings, you will have to confirm the installation.
Firefox users will not be able to install the plugin while the browser is running. This means that you need to install the plugin using a different browser. The plugin is universal for all browsers
Step 5. Test the plugin
Once the plugin is installed, refresh the F5 page. You will see a Google Earth globe in the middle of the page.
You can also see a message under the globe that the plugin has been successfully installed
Method 3 of 3: Installing Google Earth on a Mobile Device
Step 1. Open the app store for your device
Google Earth is available for Android and iOS devices. You can use the application on phones and tablets.
You can find links to the application on the Google Earth website, select the "For mobile" option and the link suitable for your device
Step 2. Find the Google Earth app
Make sure you download the free and licensed app from Google Inc.
Step 3. Install the application
On Android devices, click the "Install" button to start downloading the program. On iOS devices, click the Free button and then the Install button. You may need to enter your account password.

Step 4. Open the application
Once the app is installed, it should appear on the Home screen or in the app list. Click on the application icon to launch it. It is recommended to go through a little training to learn and get used to using the application.
