Changing your Skype photo is a fairly simple task. It all depends on which version of Skype you have, as well as on which computer it is installed - on Mac or Windows. We'll tell you everything you need to know to change your photo.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: On Windows 7
Step 1. Open Skype, click on the "Skype menu" button
If you have version 5.3 or higher, then read on.
Step 2. Click on the "Profile" button and "Change your profile photo
" The profile photo settings appear.
Step 3. Take a new photo using the webcam, or select the folder that contains the finished photo
Step 4. Select the photo you want to put on your profile
Click Open.
Step 5. Click "Use this photo
" The profile photo will be changed.
Method 2 of 3: On Windows 8
Step 1. Open Skype
If you have version 5.3 or higher, read on.
Step 2. Click on the profile icon
A new menu will appear.
Step 3. Select a new profile photo
Find a folder with a photo. Select it.
Step 4. Click "Open
"
Step 5. The new profile photo will be installed
Method 3 of 3: On a Mac system
Step 1. Open Skype
If you have version 5.3 or higher, read on. Step 2. Click on your name or profile photo.
They are in the upper left corner of the profile window. A new window will open where you can change your profile photo. Step 3. Click on the photo.
The photo editor will appear. Step 4. Add a new photo, or select a photo from a folder on your computer.
- Click on previous profile photos to select one of them.
- Click on the button with the camera, take a photo with the webcam.
- Click "Browse …" to select a photo in a folder on your computer.
