This article will show you how you can create a soundtrack movie in Windows Movie Maker. To do this, you first need to install Windows Movie Maker (in the Russian version, the program is called "Film Studio") on your computer, since in Windows 10 this program is not preinstalled and is currently no longer supported.
Steps
Part 1 of 5: How to Install Windows Movie Maker

Step 1. Download the Windows Live Essentials installation file
If you do not have Windows Live Essentials, which includes Windows Movie Maker, preinstalled on your computer, you will need to install it. Since Microsoft has ended support for Windows Live Essentials, the program can no longer be downloaded from the official site, but it can still be found on third-party software archive sites.

Step 2. Run the installation file

Step 4. Select a full installation of Windows Essentials (recommended)
This option is at the very top. However, most Windows Essentials programs are incompatible with Windows 10, so you can only install Windows Movie Maker by selecting it from the list.

Step 5. Click on the Details button
It is located in the lower left corner of the window. You will see a progress bar and the name of the program that is currently being installed.

Step 6. Wait for Windows Movie Maker to install

Step 3. Change the beginning of the soundtrack
Click on the green audio track below the files and slide it to the right or left, then release to change its position.
Be aware that the end of the music track will automatically match the end of the last video or image in the project if the total length of the movie does not exceed the length of the music track

Step 4. Edit the properties of the images
Double click on the image to open the “Edit” menu tab at the top of the window, where you can change the following file properties.
- "Duration". Click the Duration text box, and then enter the time (in seconds) that the image should be displayed.
- Set the end point. Click on the black vertical line in the main working window of the project and move it to the part of the photo or video that you want to cut, then click on the button “ Set end point ”On the toolbar

Step 5. Edit the video properties
Double click on a video file in the project working window to open the “Edit” menu tab, where you can change the following video properties.
- “Loudness”. Click on the “ Video volume ”, And then move the volume slider left or right.

Step 7. Make sure all project files are configured as you need

Step 8. Start previewing the movie
Click on the "Play" button (blue triangle) below the preview window located on the left side of the application window. If you are satisfied with the result and the movie plays normally in the preview window, you can proceed to adding effects.
Part 4 of 5: How to Add Effects

Step 1. Go to the menu on the Home tab
It is located in the upper left part of the application window. The project editing toolbar is displayed.

Step 2. Click the Title button

Part 5 of 5: How to Save a Movie

Step 1. Start previewing your movie
