Since the Kindle mobile app for iPhone / iPad and Android does not have a “Sign Out” button, this function is analogous to the procedure for “deauthorizing” the device. Deauthorizing a device will disconnect it from the Amazon account, blocking the ability to make purchases through that account and view purchased content. Log in after de-authorization to link the device to a different account or the same one. An Android device can be deauthorized through an Amazon account, thereby preventing other users from accessing your account if the device is ever lost or stolen.
