In 1998, Evite was born, laying the groundwork for the use of Internet invitations. In 2003, they updated their programs to use the prompt wizard. Thus, the process of creating an invitation was partially automated, thereby reducing the amount of work required to fewer steps and clicks. While many other websites are now offering this service, Evite has become so popular that it has become synonymous with the online event invitation creation process. Most Evite services are free, but you can register an account. The Evite creation process involves choosing a range of aesthetic options, typing, and adding a guest list. In this article, we will show you how to create an Evite invitation.
Steps

Step 1. Register on the Evite website and then login
You can use Evite without registering, but if you intend to send more than 1 invitation or access the invitation from another computer, you must register. You will be taken to the Evite home page, access to its past and current invitations, and you can save guest email addresses for future events. Website: http://new.evite.com/# home

Step 2. Click the Create an Invitation button on the Evite main page
There is also a Create an Invitation section in the toolbar. Any of these options will work.

Step 3. Review the list of events on the left side of the page
At the top you should see a Featured Designs option that displays designs (designs) for new or upcoming holidays. An important feature of the Evite website is that they create creative templates. While there is room for customizing invitations in case you want to design your own, Evite might not be the best place to create and send an invitation.
Below the Featured Designs option, you will see a list of the holidays or events in alphabetical order (vertical view): "Anniversary, Baby Shower, Baby's First Year, Bachelor Party" and etc

Step 4. Click on the event
For example: Select "Dinner Party" and about 8 pages with 8 layouts per page will appear on the right side of the event list.

Step 5. Scroll through the layouts
Click on a specific design to see a larger size. After that, a layout will appear to start working with it. If you don't like the design, either click the "Go Back" button in the lower left corner of the page to return to the layouts page, or click "Change Design" and a horizontal list of other layouts will appear, allowing you to go to another selection method from the list.

Step 6. After selecting the design, enter the event details
Note: you can still change your design. At the bottom of the page you will see buttons labeled "Go Back", "Save Draft", "Preview" and "Next Step". Use these buttons to change your design, leave the invitation for another time to see how you get it, or move on in the process.
- The required fields are "Event Title", "Event Type", "Host" and "Where". First, fill in these fields so that you can use in the process if you do not know all the details yet.
- Complete the Phone Number, Location, Address, City, State, Zip, and Message fields (Message). For meeting loved ones, like a dinner party, these details are very important. For an informal meeting at work, these details may not be necessary.
- Be sure to fill in the "Message" field. The template only indicates the kind of event, while your message conveys a personal touch and lets people know if they should bring anything. Click Next Step.

Step 7. Add guests
You have 3 options. You can add them manually by separating them with commas. If you've created Evite in the past, you can view the addresses you've used before. You can import contacts by linking them to Evite.

Step 8. As you add contacts, you will see them appear in the box on the right side of the screen
Click Next Step.

Step 9. Select a response style in the upper left corner of the page
Scroll through the drop-down list titled "Default" to see the customized response styles. You can also create your own expression words if guests say "Yes", "No", or "Maybe".
Select options at the bottom of the page. Select the checkboxes to receive email notifications if RSVP invitation signatures are present, or set limits on the guest list

Step 10. Click "Preview Invitation" before sending to catch any errors
Your invitation will appear on the screen. You may have to disable your pop-up blocker to see the prompt.

Step 11. Click "Finish and Send"
You may be prompted for a security check word. A confirmation will be displayed if the request was sent.

Step 12. Visit the Evite website to see your RSVP list when the day of the event approaches
Send messages to guests before or after this event.
Advice
- If you'd like to add your own images, choose the customizable Evite design. This is the "Upload Your Photo" option in the list of events in alphabetical order.
- If you would like guests to bring something, go to the RSVP page, find the event conversation, and click on the red purse icon. This will allow you to list things that people can bring, and the item will disappear from the list when someone chooses to bring them.
- On the confirmation page, click the "Post to Facebook" button if you want to invite your friends from your Facebook account.
