To compress your PowerPoint presentation, open the file location → Right click on it → Select “Compress”.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Mac

Step 1. Open Finder
Finder is a blue icon with a smiling face at the very bottom of the screen.

Step 2. Click on the search bar
It's located in the upper-right corner of the Finder window.

Step 3. Enter the name of the PowerPoint presentation you want to compress

Step 4. Hold down the CTRL key and click on the file

Step 5. Click Compress [file_name]

Step 6. Enter a new name (optional)
Typically, two files cannot have the same name. However, since the original Powerpoint file and the new compressed file have different extensions, they may have the same name.

Step 7. Press Return
Method 2 of 2: Windows

Step 1. Open the Start menu
It is located in the lower left corner of the screen.
In Windows 8, press the Windows key. It's in the lower left side of the keyboard and looks like a window

Step 2. Enter the name of the PowerPoint presentation you want to compress

Step 3. Click on the file with the right mouse button

Step 4. Click "File Location"

Step 5. Right-click on the PowerPoint file again

Step 6. Place the cursor on the "Send" item

Step 7. Select "Compressed ZIP Folder"

Step 8. Enter a new name (optional)
Typically, two files cannot have the same name. However, since the original Powerpoint file and the new compressed file have different extensions, they may have the same name.

Step 9. Press Enter
Advice
- The compressed file can be unpacked or opened.
- On Mac, double click on the compressed file.
- On Windows, right-click on the compressed file and select "Extract All …". In the window that opens, select "Check Out" to confirm the check out.
