In this article, we are going to tell you how to find out which outgoing mail server (SMTP server) is configured in Outlook.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Windows

Step 1. Start Outlook
You will find it in the Start menu in the All Applications folder.

Step 2. Open the File menu
You will find it in the upper left corner.

Step 3. Click on Information
You will find this option at the top of the left pane.

Step 4. Click Account Settings
It's in the center pane. A menu will open.

Step 5. Click on Account Settings
In the older version of Outlook, this is the only option on the menu. A pop-up window will appear.

Step 6. Select the required account
To do this, click on it.

Step 7. Click Change
You will find this option in the options line above the account name. A new window will open.

Step 8. Find the SMTP server in the "Outgoing mail server (SMTP)" line
This server is used by the selected account to send emails.

Step 9. Click Cancel to close the window
Method 2 of 2: macOS

Step 1. Start Outlook
It's in Launchpad and in the Applications folder.

Step 2. Open the Tools menu
You will find it in the menu bar at the top of the screen.

Step 3. Click Accounts
A window with account information will open.

Step 4. Select the required account
You will find all your accounts in the left pane. If you only have one account, it will be highlighted.

Step 5. Find the SMTP server in the "Outgoing Server" line
This server is used by the selected account to send emails.
