Steps
Step 1. Start Excel and open the file with the table
Step 2. Select the cell in which the summation result will be displayed
This can be the cell next to the last data cell.
3 Place the cursor in the selected cell and enter the formula = SUM (AX: AY)
- Where "A" is the letter of the column in which the summation is performed; X is the number of the cell from which the summation starts; Y is the number of the cell where the summation ends.
- Alternative method: enter = SUM (, click on the first cell (start of summation), then hold Shift, click on the last cell (end of summation), type) and press Enter.
