Epsom salt may rightfully be considered one of the easiest ways to soothe sore feet, but it can also be used as a household cleanser. Integrating Epsom Salt into your daily life is an easy and non-toxic way to accomplish a variety of tasks.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Using Epsom salts for Body

Step 1. Brush your teeth with Epsom salts to brighten your smile
In addition to whitening teeth, Epsom salts can also help with periodontal disease.
- Mix one part Epsom salt with one part water. Make sure the mixture is smooth.
- Dip a toothbrush into it and brush your teeth thoroughly. Rinse the salt mixture and spit it out. Rinse your mouth with clean, cool water.

Step 2. Soothe aching feet by soaking them in a salt bath
An Epsom salt foot bath can also help relieve calluses and painful tendonitis.
- Fill a small bucket or foot bath with warm water. You can pour boiling water and let it cool down to a temperature that is comfortable for you.
- Add 1 to 2 cups of Epsom salts to the water and stir with your feet. Rub your feet on the salt to dissolve and soothe sore areas.
- Keep your feet in the water until it cools down. If you want to continue soaking, add a few more glasses of hot water and stir.

Step 3. Make a skin scrub by mixing Epsom salts with olive oil
- Combine two parts olive oil with one part Epsom salt in a small saucer. Warm the oil as lightly as possible to keep it warm during use.
- With clean hands, apply the scrub to your face and rub in in a circular motion. Do this over a sink as the oil will drip from your face.
- Wash off with warm water and a mild face soap. Pat dry with a clean towel.

Step 4. Get rid of acne with Epsom salts, iodine and boiling water
Instead of squeezing out acne, use a natural remedy made with a few household ingredients.
- Mix ½ cup boiling water with 3 drops of iodine and 1 tsp. Epsom salt.
- Stir and let cool. The mixture should be warm enough to loosen acne, but should not burn the skin.
- Dip a cotton swab into the mixture and apply to the eel. Blot the eel and let it sit overnight.

Step 5. Boost your magnesium levels by bathing in Epsom salts
Doctors know that it is difficult to get enough magnesium through the diet, but it is easily absorbed in other ways. Bathe three times a week for the optimal amount.
- Add a glass of Epsom salts to a warm bath and soak for 30 minutes or until the water cools.
- Consider using a natural olive oil and Epsom salts scrub for extra effect while you soak in the bath.
Method 2 of 2: Using Epsom Salt in Your Home and Garden

Step 1. Use raccoons as a preventive measure
Tired of the raccoon family feasting on your trash? Instead of poison and dangerous traps, use a natural way to scare them away.
- Sprinkle some Epsom salt over the dustbin lid overnight. Sprinkle salt in and around the tank for added effect. The taste of the salt will drive the raccoons away in search of food elsewhere.
- Do this constantly. In the end, the raccoons will understand what you are trying to convey to them and will leave forever.

Step 2. Make a grout to keep your lawn lush and green
Especially early in the season, when the grass begins to sprout again, add Epsom salts to your irrigation water to keep your lawn green and healthy.
Add 2 tablespoons for every 4 liters of water. If you are using an underground watering system, spray the brine separately on the lawn so that it is absorbed with the groundwater

Step 3. Whiten your floor tiles by mixing Epsom salts with liquid dish soap
If white or light-colored floor tiles are dirty, regularly use a solution of Epsom salts and liquid dishwashing liquid to keep your floor sparkling.
- Mix ½ cup Epsom salts with 4 liters of warm, soapy water. Add more salt if the tiles are particularly dirty.
- Apply the solution to the tile with a brush and scrub well. Pay attention to the grout between the tiles, if it is difficult to clean, you may need to add ammonia to the grout.
- Rinse with clean water. Dry the floor with a clean towel.

Step 4. Fertilize your garden with Epsom salts
Want the ripest and most delicious fruits and vegetables this season? Add Epsom salts to the irrigation water to improve not only the flavor, but also the color and even the size of the fruit.
- Mix 1 tbsp. l. Epsom salt in 4 gallons of water, then spray on the plants. Coat each plant thoroughly with the mixture.
- Add fertilizer immediately after watering to improve plant nutrient uptake. Since Epsom Salt increases magnesium levels in plants, it improves their ability to absorb nutrients.
