Home cleaning products have many benefits. You will be able to completely control the composition of the product, and also not to add ingredients with strong odors or allergies. It will also save you money as you can use simple and cheap ingredients like baking soda and vinegar. There are several recipes for making a degreaser at home. With each of these, you get a product that cleans up cooking grease, smells minimal, isn't irritating, and is cheap.
Steps

Step 1. Use distilled vinegar (also known as white vinegar) as your degreaser
You can apply it to oily surfaces with a spray bottle or cloth and it will rid you of most of the grease. The vinegar smell will dissipate quickly, but remember to dry the surface with a cloth after using the vinegar.
- To make the product even cheaper and softer, dilute the vinegar with water.

Step 2. You can also use a baking soda paste to destroy fat
Mix baking soda with water until a paste. Depending on the desired thickness of the paste, you can mix the ingredients in a ratio of 5 parts water to 1 part baking soda, although less water will make the paste thicker. Apply the paste to the surface with a cloth and then rinse with water.
- This product should not be applied with a spray bottle, as baking soda can clog the spray mechanism.

Step 3. Make a solution of ammonia and water
This option can be easily prepared in a soap bottle. Fill the bottle halfway with ammonia and fill the rest with water. Add a few drops of soap. Close the bottle and shake well. Apply to oily surfaces directly from the bottle or with a cloth.

Step 4. Mix vinegar, soda and ammonia with water
Pour 4 liters of water into a large bucket. Add 1 cup (240 ml) ammonia, half a cup (120 ml) vinegar, and a quarter cup (60 ml) baking soda to the water. Mix the ingredients thoroughly. The mixture can be applied to a greasy surface with a cloth, and the remains can be stored in a clean container with a lid. Stir the solution before each use, as the baking soda can settle on the bottom.

Step 5. For another version of the degreaser, mix borax and detergent
Pour 4 L of water into a bucket, add 1/2 cup (120 ml) borax, 2 tablespoons (30 ml) washing powder, and 1 tablespoon (15 ml) ammonia. Mix thoroughly and pour liquid into a spray bottle for use. You can store leftover solution for later use in a clean bottle or container with a lid.
Advice
- All of the above ingredients can be purchased from the cleaning products section of the grocery store.
- Work with open windows so that the smell of ammonia or vinegar does not irritate you.
